Change your operating system to windows xp. update Chipset drivers, Graphics drivers and make your computer have a nice air flow by cleaning inside where the fan is. use a powerfull air blower when laptop is powered off and without battery..

If it's an specific program then uninstall/reinstall. If it's any program then you may need to do an virus scan and check to see if you have adaquate memory and the processor is not being stressed to max. Open Task Manager and check Performance for CPU Usage and Memory used. you may have programs running in the background that may cause your system to crash.
