The CD is simply too old. That is a major problem with computers getting 'supposedly' better and faster over time. The processor and imaging of the newer computers is just way too advanced for the very low requirements of that game, since you did say it is ok with Win95.I also have had the same thing happen with games I own which are much more recent than that.I wish I had more for you.Greg

My computer formatted i have genuine product key how to get win xp home edition and install in my computer

Put the genuine Microsoft CD-ROM disk into your CD-ROM drive.
Restart your computer.
As soon as it starts, look for a message like "press Fxx to temporary change boot-order".
Press that key.
Select to boot from you CD-ROM drive.
This will start to install Windows, by reading from the CD-ROM drive.

My windows xp home edition has crashed and i have no recovery cd

Find a friend with either a "retail" Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM disk,
or with an 'OEM' ("original equipment manufacturer") equivalent.

Use that disk, plus the 25-character product-key on the label on the side of your computer,
to reinstall Windows, or first to try to "repair" your installed copy of Windows.

Or, if you have a "brand-name" computer (Dell, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Acer, Gateway, eMachines)
telephone the manufacturer, and order a replacement "System Restore" set of CD-ROM disks.
Probably about $20, plus $20 for overnight-courier.

I need to do a windows repair but I cannot find my cd. Can I download one and save it to a disk and install it on a different computer

Ask your friends to borrow either a "retail" Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM (bought when XP was available in retail stores) or an "OEM" (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version. The OEM version was used by Microsoft-licensed "system-builders" (small computer-stores that assemble computers from the individual components, and then install this "generic" version of Windows).

If you have the "genuine Windows" decal on the side of your desktop, use that 25-character product-key and the "borrowed" CD-ROM to reinstall Windows.

Nightmare ned CD/ROM

This software was released long before Win7 was being worked on. Thus it isn't going to work directly in Win7; Microsoft has changed a lot in the OS. However, with a bit of work and either Win7 Pro or Ultimate, there is a workaround. Install the XP mode program from Microsoft (it's a two download process) and create a virtual computer inside your main computer. You should be able to install and run the game within the virtual computer.

I hope this helps.

Needed to reinstall xp home-sp2 with my recovery cd-rom

Try changing the CD, if that dosn't solve the problem :
1. Format the whole hard disk using the default partition manager.
2. Install XP freshly.

DLL PROBLEM

try right clicking on the program on your desktop and then click on properties after that click on compatibilty, next click the box next to run this program in compatibility mode, then click the box below that and select windows 95 or windows 98 / windows me. that should fix the problem. if not then you will have to uninstall and reinstall the game.
