F1 error code on comp screen of wall oven - Kitchen Ranges

When I turn the oven on, it starts for a while, then the error code comes on. The clock works ok. I turned the circuit off for two days and when I turned it back on, I got a F-3 code, but after that, it has been F-1 codes. How much does the ERC cost? I hope I'm not being a nuisance but when you are retired and living on a fixed income, you must try to save every penny you can. A word for the young, work hard and save while your young because age catches up to you before you know it. Thank you very much for whatever answer you can give me. God Bless, George Nieves

For a KitchenAid electric wall oven, error code F1 means the electronic range control (ERC) has failed and needs to be replaced.

I have the same problem. We just moved into a house and the stove was unplugged, we plugged it in and to my horror, our ears kept ringing from the horrible beeping noise that sounds like a smoke detector going off. We have a GE JGBP31/34/35 GEP

We phoned GE and found out that since we cannot clear the F1 message, that we have to replace the ERC....which means the entire computer unit in the stove. We spoke to the parts department and the cost for just the part for our model is $391.65 (CAD) plus tax, shipping & labour. Might as well buy a new stove!

We cannot use the oven and only can use the burners while the stove is beeping.

What does it mean for screen to flash f1

Hello friend, thanks for your post!

From my understanding your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F1" error code. "F1" typically means that your wall oven has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). Sometimes resetting your appliance can correct this issue but in the case that it does not and you still receive that error code I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose and repair. At that time you could be having an issue within RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) sensor probe or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) having a professional come out would reduce the cost of unnecessary parts. Hopefully this has been helpful. -Matt

I have a electric wall oven model cwe9000 and it is showing a fault code f1. What is that and how do I fix it?

F1 usually indicated a defect in either the keypad or the electronic control. If the error shows when the keypad is disconnected from control, the problem is usually in the control. If the error ceases with the keypad disconnected, the keypad is usually the cause.

W131 wall oven beeps and shows F1

Hello,
The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced . GENE

Wall oven error code: F1 E1

F1-E1 - EEPROM Checksum Error - Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect.
Allow at least a minute after power has been restored and if error code reappears, replace control board (clock).

GE Wall Oven - error code F1

According to GE, the F1 fault code indicates a problem with the Electronic Range Control (ERC) Board. If the fault cannot be cleared, they recommend replacing the ERC and the touchpad. Has your repair guy tried any of these ideas? Post back with your comments, please.
