That motherboard could be 15 years old. There is a battery in the motherboard that keeps the bios memory stable. Change the battery and see if that solves the issue. IF you did not flash the BIOS then it is hard to fathom a checksum error. If that does not work then you should get an error that you can proceed past, IF that is not the case you have to replace the motherboard.
Turn the computer off
now turn on and hold down the delete key until the bios screen appears
in the boot tab select first boot as the cd disk, install the cd for win nt in that drive
close down the cd and then restart and it will boot from the cd
BY reformatting the hard drive win nt you have wiped the win nt operating system from the hard drive
