Question about Televison & Video
The set won't turn on, when plugged in it emits a high pitched 'Eeeee' sound. Doesn't do anything else. No power up and a high pitch noise
Thats sound it's because the horizontal IC are in bad conditions and need to replace it.Good luck.

SOURCE: Won't turn on.
If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Could be anything from a bad startup resistor to a shorted horizontal output transistor to a bad controller. It is probably something simple but you will need to do some troubleshooting. Start with the low voltage power supply. Take care, and good luck
