I assume that the ethernet controller is on the motherboard? If so, you can download the Intel chipset drivers here which includes the LAN drivers when you install it.
If that doesn't resolver the problem, you may have a problem on the mobo itself. Also, you could buy a PCI ethernet adapter to use if the one on the mobo is dead. Good luck.
You can download the driver of your motherboard but you have to specify your system model number and then the operating system .
