92 Camaro, V8 5.7 multi port, new pump, good preasure. runs when primed, wont start without prime. After sitting a few minutes, engine fires wont start. How to check EGR Valve and what does it do?

If you Camaro has an electronic chip in you stared key , that I think is the problem , you need to take your car with your mechanic and take a part , at the end the steering column is a small Bering they need to change that Bering, the job is price to fix was $750.00, that's is the problem, happen to me and my mechanic change that Bering plus give me a new keys,. That little Bering is the one thing make the spark for the entire car can star. , he check my starter was right and after little willie he found it. The solution. I have same Camaro 92 V8 automatic.

Remove the battery cables and inspect them for corrosion build up. Clean with baking soda and warm water. Reinstall and try to start. Also check carging system. 13.5-14.5 volts when running.
