You can go to the Summit web site and order the transformer you need --
http://www.summitappliance.com/

or I am sure you could go down to your local appliance repair shop and they might have one on hand that they can sell you ( just pick up the phone book and make a few calls ) -- if they don't have one - then they might know of a company in town that might have one to sell you.

A lot of times you can go to Grainger's and they will match your transformer. Most transformers are the same. As yours is a 24 volt transformer. If you take the transformer to Grainger's they will match it up for you.

Need a 240v power supply for my dab radio model no DAB031+ audiosonic DAB+FM RADIO where can I get one

Hi Ray, comment if your DAB Radio, work with an external power supply or directly to the outlet
If it is the second option and you have a line voltage of 120 volts, you can use a transformer of 220 volts to 120 volts, in an inverted way, as a voltage booster, you enter 120 volts and you will have on the other side of the transformer 240 volts
It is important that you use a Transformer, to have the primary secondary isolated

Amana furnace. How do I replace a 4-wire transformer with a 6-wire?

The new transformer should have a description on the side or top. Like: Com, Color, Volt. For example, say you have `120 volts, com-white, black wire - 120 Volts. Make sure you carefully read which wires to use or have a tech come out.

It's 110v model and I want to run it on 230v. If I use a transformer what rating would you reccomend. If I try to convert to 230v what would I need to do. Also can you point me to an operations manual....

You need the total amperes of the refrigerator and multiply by the refrigerator volts to get voltamps, then choose a transformer that is rated at least 120% of the voltamps of the refrigerator. e.g. refrigerator runs at 120 volts and 7.5 amperes, 120 x 7.5 is 900, then 120% of 900 is 1080. A transformer of at least 1080 VA (volt amps) that is 220-240 volts primary and 120 volts secondary. 1080 volt amps is same as 1.08kva (kilo volt amps).

How to wire a 480 3phrase 100amp panel to a 75kva transformer to a 208/120 panel

A humming transformer doesn't always mean time to replace. Get some shellac and heat it up to over 120 degrees and paint it on the core frame.

I want to find out how many watts does the kenmore 400 series uses

Maybe a dumb question, but what do you need a transformer for a washing machine? Washers typically plug into a standard 120 volt 15 amp outlet. To figure out the wattage, use the simple formula, P=E x I. There will be a tag somewhere on the machine stating current draw, which is "I", "E" is your voltage, and "P" is your wattage which is what you'll figure out after reading the label on the machine.

Is there a 120/230v switch on this unit. this unit has the European plug in with rounded ends. would I need to purchase a 120v adapter.

IF the unit is a international model it will say the two or range of voltages on the serial number tag. If it is not then you can use a 220 to 120 voltage transformer but if using a 60 Hz transformer in a 50 Hz environment they have the tendency to over heat.
The international model have a switch arrangment on the back to select different primary transformer windings. If you have a 220V ac unit a small 120 to 220V transformer could be used with no danger.
It is not just a matter of the connector but also of the voltage provided to the unit so that it works correctly.

I am trying to replace the transformer in a intertherm electric furnace . I wound up with a jard model 7541c . I know that i need to use the black and white wires for 120 but the old transformer had black...

The important thing to remember is that a transformer has two sides, a primary and secondary side. The primary side should have the 120 volt wires connected to it. It doesn't matter which one of the 120 vac wires goes to what terminal on this side as long as they are both on the primary side. Same with the other two wires, they go to the two wires on the secondary side of the transformer. Hope this helps! Jim

There is water in the refridgerator

You have a disconnected defrost drain pan. You will need inspect the ceiling of your refrigerator compartment and find the drain hose going from your freezer to your fridge then the drain pan. Sometimes this is molded into the plastic at the back of your fridge and it simply leaking out the joint. Start by defrosting your freezer, then pour water in the freezer itself while checking the ceiling of the fridge for water traces. Keep a wet/dry shop vac handy or a mop to keep up with the excess drainage. Then reattach the hose to the little drain nozzle when you find it.

The mains transformer in my Logitech x540 has blown (oc on the primary). I've taken it out and its a simple single coil primary and secondary, but there are no markings on it to indicate the secondary...

You would need to rewind the coils.Do not try to do it by yourself if you have no idea what you are up-to...this time it was transformer next time it could it could be your circuit.Take it to a professional, the charges won't be much.
Good Luck.
