Power supply has gone bad. If you still like the unit, you may need to send it out for repair.

I can't get the dvd player on the tv. I don't know

I've reviewed your post, evey2011, and would be glad to assist you with this! The DVD should plug directly into the TV. When you plug the cable into the TV, there should be some type of designation for the ports, such as AV, Video, or Component. What you should do is look for the designation of the ports. If you can't make it out, put a DVD disc in the player and have it playing, then use the TV remote to cycle through the inputs on the TV to find the picture input.

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions!

Making noises

Hi mitchellheal! I will be glad to assist you. This is what we are going to do, If the receiver is plug in to the power strip or surge protector, unplug it for 1min, then plug in directly to the wall outlet.. then the receiver will power on by itself, once you see attention 015 on the tv screen, press the menu button on the remote control, once you got the main menu, press 6,1,1 on the remote and it will go to point dish, select check switch, then it will go to installation summary, select test and let the test finish. once its done, select done and it will go to point dish, select done and cancel all the way out of the menu, and it will pop up attention 015, leave it to finish the progress, and let the programming guide download as well, once its done, it will show a tv show and check if the noise is still exist, if the problem still exist, pls call 1-800-333-3474 and talk to tech support dept, and inform them what you did and the problem, that is a dvr lost of function, problem with the hard drive.. If you have any query, pls feel free to get in touch

I have a dvd player that I am trying to hook up to a sharp tv model number 25L-M100B. This tv don't have the necessary ports inthe back to plug dvd or anything up to it. It does have 2 in the front of

Hook the dvd player up to the front inputs usually a yellow and a red or possibly a yellow red and white depending if the TV is stereo or not.

Then on your remote, it the INPUT button and take it to "VIDEO 1" while your dvd player is on and you should get a picture.

Make sure not to mix the cable colors.
Yellow is video
White Audio
Red Audio
A lot of times there is only either white or red and not both. This is just Mono sound, it works, just not "stereo" sound.

Adding a dvd player to my dvr and older tv

leave coaxcil cable on dvr ;unplug the colored wires from the dvr output and plug them into the output of the recorder;plug a second set of colored wires into output of dvr and into input of recorder;be sure to set recorder input to proper setting on recorder (input one or two) now you should be able to record what your dvr plays or just use it as a dvd player ; you will need to have all three on to watch tv though.

Philips DVDR 3506/37 - when in stand by mode -

I had the same problem, it is a Diode on the Power Supply Board. The Location number is D1054, you should change C1051 also. It maybe leaky. I used a 10v 1000uf capacitor instead of the 6.3v 1000uf it had. Make sure to be careful when changing these components, making sure the polarity is right. Good Luck!

The "terrable loud high pitch sound" could be the horz. oscillator.
The voltages off the crt should be (+) (-) 11v to 15v DC. Too much on Blue & Red guns will cut them off
