If the starter is operational and won't crank then it has to be a battery or wiring issue. The starter may work but it might not be engaging the flywheel teeth. Is this a new starter? Is this a new problem with the engine not cranking?

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE no power to certain fuses and circuit fuses are good car cranks but won't start

double posted and tests DONE WRONG
the battery must not be dead is first
and not testing fuse, with KEY on,
1;/2 the fuses are dead KEY off that is 100% Normal.
key on does IP cluster glow lamps as it did just like it did for 13 years?
head lamps bright key on an off both, (it must)
heater blower on high, works loud ,key on,
is the starter motor dead/? called cranking,?????????????

you said new crank , I'm sure you meant a new starter motor>?
is the starter dead? now? if yes post how to test a dead starter.
starters fail in many ways.
  • dead
  • chatters.
  • clicks,
  • makes a HUGE nasty loud bang, (engine or it seized)
  • or starter spins fast (sounds like sewing machined) but engine cranks shaft never spins (turns ) starter pinon failure.
or starter goes GRRRRRGRRRRRR and crank shaft spins but does not start.(seen and heard)

a dead starter with a good battery (charged) may crank
if you learn to crank it in NEUTRAL. (auto tranny?)
does starter work , JUMPER cable jump started?????
crank in park then try Neutral.
on stick shift cars the clutch switch bad kills cranking.

I have a 2004 ford ranger edge 3.0 it won't turn over

auto transmission or STICK???????????????\
all fuses test good?
what does turn over mean to you?
there are 3 answers
the starter spins all by itself and turns over,
if lucky the stater can even turn over the cranks shaft, called actual cranking over .
we say it will not crank or it does.
or we say
the starter cranks fast and he engine and will not start and run
or it may start for 3 second and stall ( a classic IMMO trick)

if the starter spins the engine robustly and fast why the new battery>
must be a no crank engine,(silent starter.,clicks or chatters or sound like bombb under hood a huge giant BANG< a seized engine,.
this is 10x more easy than a dead engine for sure.

  1. :battery drained. so charge it.
  2. battery load tests and charges fail the battery is bad
  3. so battery new ,failed to help cranking. sorry I cant hear it. sure.
  4. crank not in failing Park but now in Neutral , works?
  5. ok all that fails. must be bad starter. WE HOT WIRE TEST THEM.
  6. some rare cars the IMMO even cuts starter dead, not just spark/fuel. so is the IMMO happy light glowing or not.

FUSES GOOD
iMMO LAMP NOT ANGRY, (FAILING)
SCAN pCU, SEE IF THERE SAY BATTERY ERRORS ETC. DTC CODES.?
CRANK IN neutral not just park.
HOT WIRE THE STARTER.
JUMPER CABLE CRANKING WORK.?

OK FOUND IT YOU DID DOING ALL THAT.

I turn key and 97 geo prizm doesn't start i have radio & it honks but doesn't crank it turns but nothing

If the engine turns then you need to check for fuel and spark. If the engine is not turning over then you need to check the fuse for the starter and the starter itself.

Jeep liberty 2008

turn on the headlights and try to crank the engine; if the lights dim out while you try to crank, then the starter is ok but the battery is too weak. just turning on the lights does not mean that the battery has enough juice to crank the engine; a starter pulls a lot more than lights. If the headlights do not dim out and it still won't crank, then the starter or a connection to the starter is your problem.

94 jeep cherokee will not turn over

Bad neutral safety switch, starter relay, starter fuse or bad ignition switch. You will have to check each of those things to find what's keeping the current from reaching the starter, when you try cranking.

1998 chevy asto van wont crank or turn over

Turn the headlights on and watch them while the key is turned to start. If the lights go out, one of your cables or connections at battery or starter is not good. If lights dim a lot but stay on, possibly a bad starter, it needs testing. If lights aren't affected by cranking position, turn lights off, pull the small wire off the starter solenoid, hook up a test light to ground and to the solenoid wire. Light should come on when key is held in crank. If it does, likely a bad starter solenoid. If no light, then the start circuit from ignition switch to starter solenoid is not working. Check for power out of ignition switch on the start wire with key in crank, to begin with. If powered, switch is good, need to check if neutral safety switch is good, and then check or swap in a new starter relay.
Post back with any results.
Good luck.

Car won't start. It turns over and clicks fast, but nothing. Dad says it may be the starter, but I don't know where the starter is to tap it to see. Can you help?

Right side, down under. You say it turns over? if it turns over, the starter is working. Turning over and cranking are the same thing. It either CRANKS or it DOES NOT CRANK. or it CRANKS but wont RUN. Explain things in these terms so theres no confusion.
