mosfet have a built in shut off incase of a blown resistor, if the resistor blows,it will shut down the amp, the resistors job is to inhibit power to prevent overheating, you will have to check the OHMS of each resistor to find out which one has gone......hope this was helpfull
MOST OF THE TIME AMPLIFIED BOXES ARE EASYER THAN REG AMPS, ALL U HAVE TO DO IS RUN UR RCAS FROM THE BACK OF UR HEAD UNIT TO THE AMP, THAN UR POWER LEAD, FROM UR BATTERY TO THE AMP, THEN UR GROUND MOSTLY ON THE FRAM OF THE CAR OR ON THE BRACKETS ON UR SEATS, THATS MAINLY ALL U NEED TO NO.
Are you sure you are getting signal to the amp. Try another signal source. try temporarily connecting the shield of the input cable to the car body ground. The signal ground may be open in the head unit due to a previusy faulty amp.Most newer head units ave tis signal ground fused inside the head unit.Older ones ma have bunt circuit trace. If it works when you groud the input to the car body this is what has happend. The previous amp had an open power ground so the curent when to use the signal ground but it will not hold the curent so it in turn opened.
