Question about Panasonic KX-FP101 Plain Paper Thermal Fax

1 Answer

Paper jam Incoming or printing results in paper jam...paper begins printing for about 1/2", then stops. Clearing jam has no effect. Printing reports same results. Has new film...sends fax fine. No other problem, no visible broken parts, no help from Manual. Any ideas or do I need to junk this unit?

How do I override a paper jam error message?

Dear
I am a bit of confused about paper jam but you are able to print but facing difficulties in scanning. I think the document jam is there. Pl. check the ADF (automatic document feeder) a small piece of paper or any foreign mater may obstruct or jammed at the sensor. clearing this may help you.

Thanks.

Blurred print of incoming and outgoing report

There are usually two things that can cause blurred printing.
1 The toner/drum needs changing.
2 The fuser assy is worn and not fusing the toner onto the paper correctly. This is easy to check. Does the print rub off the paper with your finger? If so then a new fuser is required. Also its possible a tooth on the gear that drives the fuser is broken. The fuser gear may have also worn down and its jumping on the gear that drives it.

Printing report or making copy

Lift up the operation panel and look for debris on the small glass strip.

If that's clean, you might have a defective thermal head.

Clearing an error

well, one of two things have happened, 1. you haven't removed all of the jammed paper, maybe you left a small piece of a piece of paper or you may bent or broken your paper jam sensor. go through the paper path very carefully and check both things.
