SOURCE: z53 is no longer attached to my computer.

In the printers and faxes window, double click the Z53 printer. This will bring up a new window for the printer. Next, click the printer link in the top of that window and then click cancel all documents.

I cannot install my lexmark Z53 Cd to my Mac. The computer says there is no memory available although I know there is. I click on "install" and it just flashes.

I use Linux (Ubuntu 8.04); I had a similar problem. If you get to the printers configuration windows, can you see the printer definition? Linux detected the printer by itself, without any installation disk.

First go to control panel, and see if you can print a test page from the printers list (Right click the printer, properties, print test page button)

If you can't print a self-test, the disconnect the printer, uninstall the drivers, reboot, download the latest driver from support.lexmark.com, connect printer when prompted during drive install.

If you can print a self-test, then right click the printer icon, and click set as default, then reopen you application and try printing again

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SCAN WITH ALL IN ONE CENTRE with VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys, i have had the same problem, i have a p4350 all in one printer and when i updated to Vista i couldnt get my install cd to work...i downloaded the install file from lexmark website...cjr4300eng.exe and all worked except OCR and FAX...i emialed lexmark and they couldnt help.....but i tricked my computer and now everything works just fine.....this what you have to do......
Step 1 - uninstall all previous lexmark software
Step 2 - download the cjr4300eng.exe file from
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:479:0:0&searchLang=en&os_group=Windows%20Vista&target=
Step 3 - extract the file to c:\drivers\printer\4300 but do install the software, just cancel
Step 4 - once you've extracted, copy the OCR and FAX folders from the original INSTALL CD to the same directory c:\drivers\printer\4300 along with all files from the ROOT directory (autorun.inf, cdicon.ico, hidclass.sys etc) on the CD EXCEPT "setup.exe"
Step 5 - open setup.exe and wait for install, it should notify you twice of installation so be patient.....and WOLA you're done
Hope this helps guys....
