But i'm confused by this, as the parts he listed to replace don't look at all like the parts on the board:
"Got it from a site called digi-key.com their phone # is 1800-344-4539. The part #s are EF6225-ND you need 1of these and E6105-ND you need 2 of these, the cost is $16 for all. Let me know how it went."
EF6225-ND 2.2UF/630VDC METAL POLY CAP E6105-ND 1.0UF/630VDC METAL POLY CAP
I tried to ask lwin62 for clarification, but don't think he is checking this site anymore.

the internal overload sensor is engaging to protect the system. The parts cost to replace the faulty board is about $70 But you need the skills to open the tv and change it I recommend you get a professional to do it More expensive of course but a lot safer.
HI, this unit has 3 main fuse links on the main board that may be blown. the fuse links should be check before you move further into the diagnosis stage. once you have checked the fuses and they are still in a working state, this will confirm a power supply board failure. this board provides and regulates the current flow and distribution of it throughout the entire unit. If the fuses are fine and the power supply board is damaged, the green light will come on briefly then, the main control will notice that the power supply is not functioning properly. Once the main control board senses an abnormal current, it will shut down the TV rendering the red light warning. The list of fuses to check are below. Remember, if they are fine and working, the issue will be the power supply board itself and, it will need to be replaced.

Hi i have a pilips 42" plasma tv (42PF5320/79) i can hear clicking the green light is on and the tv will go into stand by if i press the power button and the red light also comes on .I have turned it on and off and it works now nothing just the light on the front as if its working looking at the back through the slots two green lights come on then the tv clicks and they turn off, thanks
It does sound like a power supply problem but that can be misleading because a problem somewhere else in the TV can be "holding down" the power supply. This can usually be determined by using some isolation techniques.
