Re: PLAYERS NOT WORKING AT ALL
Find out if the player is still in warranty - glass cleaner/ammonia is bad for these type of electronics - the damage is irreversible - i have heard heroic stories of people "drying" out their mp3 players- they have ALL failed

The headphone has come un soldered and it is not making a contact with the motherboard .... I have this player. It did the same thing. I took it apart and found this to be the reason for mine not working. I do not have a soldering gun or else I would re solder it back to the motherboard. I would suggest asking if anyone you know would be willing to solder it back for you.
it could be your headphones or the headphone jack on your mp3 is dirty or messed up try to clean out the inside of it to see if that hellps also try using a seperate set of headphones to see if it plays
Honestly, how would you think that a person's info would be on a RCA Pearl Mp3 player? It's not an ipod. The simplest thing for you to do is to announce a missing mp3 player in the school, take notes of the songs in it, so that when a person steps up, all you do is ask them for the songs in it. As easy as pie.
Make sure the lock by the headphone jack is not engaged first.
If it is not locked, then reset the player by removing and reinserting the battery.
Make sure the player is fully charged before transferring songs - transferring large amounts of songs in one sitting can sometimes drain the player's resources faster than it can recharge.
