Question about Kyocera Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have 2 Kyocera 7135 smartphones, and each has a problem. 1. This phone will not select anything via screen/stylus interface. If you tap a designated space (e.g. [DONE]) it either fails to select it, or selects the option two over to the right. This is not consistent, however. 2. This phone will not get past the welcome setup. It presents the screen sensitivity setup, and then endlessly cycles around the "tap here" positions. The top screen displays "Powering On" and it is impossible to turn it off without disconnecting the battery. With both of these phones I have done a hard and soft reset, to no avail.

6. Once this is finished, turn your phone off and on again. Your keyboard has been adjusted, which activates a re-calibration of the capacitive touchscreen. (Capacitive screens are technically far more accurate that resistive, and so a full calibration tool is not included with Android phones.)

My 7135 kyocera is locked to verizon service i need the code to unlock so that i can use the phone with my current service provider, the phone is a gift my sister the previous owner

All you need to do is install palm desktop. This should have been included with the CD in your package. If for some funny reason it is not, go to here.

But don't forget to plug in the USB/Serial cable (whichever you prefer to use), then, select USB or serial after installing palm desktop (just right click the HotSync manager and if your choice isn't selected, go ahead and do so).

Hope this helps!
