Sound is not comming when i change window XP from window vista

Your PC requires a more recent soundcard device driver that is compatible with Windows Vista.

You can download the required driver here-

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/aspire_t180.html#driver

Please be aware that there is a different driver for Microsoft vista sp1 and above as opposed to Microsoft Vista. SP means service Pack which is a combination of updates supplied by Microsoft to make your operating system more reliable, secure etc.

If you do not know whether you have SP 1 installed, click on the start menu, right click on the computer and click on properties. Your Windows operating system is now described in the top of the window. It will say something like Microsoft Vista or Microsoft Vista SP1.

Can't use VPC-CG9 as PC camera.

I don't know why this wouldn't work on Vista HP, but this excerpt from the manual suggests that your XP SP1 Pro would not work without the SP2 rollup:

"Please perform the following upgrades before connecting the camera to a computer.
-Upgrade Windows XP to SP2.
Install Windows XP SP2.
-Install Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version.
Download Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version, and install it.
-If using MSN Messenger, please install MSN Messenger 7.0 or later
version."

Perhaps if you are following the steps exactly in the manual and it still does not work, upgrading Messenger will magically help.

I can not install realtek audio driver ..it says driver install failure

Right, let's start from scratch. Open your Device Manager, locate the audio card, and uninstall the driver. Leave Device Manager open.

You should be running Vista, but you also need to know if you are running Service Pack 1, as Vista and Vista SP1 need different drivers, so does the the 64bit.

The drivers can be found here: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4720.html

Once you've downloaded the driver, unzip it and run the setup. If there is no setup.exe, then go back to Device Manager, click "Scan for hardware changes" and it should automatically find the driver.
