Question about Danby DKC646BLS Full Size / Pony Beer Keg Cooler
What does it mean when the temperature gauge displays "LE"?
If your gauge displays LE, it is below 15 degrees F. That means your beer will freeze. The same problem occured on mine. I called Danby and the rep was very helpful. She informed me it was definately a problem with the temperature pad on the front of kegerator. The part cost less than $3 and shipping was $7. It was an instant fix and it was easy to replace. Remove the four screws to the tower on top, the three screws to the rear, and pull the top off. Flip it over and remove the two screws to the computer. Unplug the old and replace with the new. Very simple job. Due to the low price of the pad, I would order two. The shipping price is the same and I don't have to worry about another keg being ruined because I now have a spare on hand. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. Call Danby (1-800-263-2629) and they will either replace the circuit board it if it is still under warranty or they can send you the replacement part. It means there is a miscommunication, i.e. short, in the circuit boards and it needs to be replaced. The replacement cost is only $14.49 as of 4/23/09 not including shipping if you have exceeded your warranty.

Tips for a great answer:

Good Morning bernie3003 - For this particular model, the control on the door is the brain which controls all the functions of the unit. If the temperature inside the unit is not reading the correct temperature, then there might be a thermistor or wiring issue between the thermistor and the main control board on the door. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the refrigerator to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
