I use a regular 17 inch monitor from 10 years ago with my eMachine that came with a 22" flat screen. It's just a matter of connecting to the correct input and output. You do have to install the correct drivers for the monitor you are using unless it uses the Windows Generic drivers but it will work.

Monitor went black what could be to possible causes for this?

Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

I just got this eMachine E15Tr monitor and am trying to hook it up to my current pc. They are both hooked up correctly to my knowledge but whenever I turn on my pc the monitor waits to turn on. When it...

You have three components which could be faulty: Computer, cable and monitor. Replace them one by one until you find out which one is giving you trouble:
  1. Hook up a portable computer to the monitor, using the same cable
  2. Same thing, only with a friend's cable that is known to work
  3. Try using the cable to hook up a friend's computer and monitor
  4. Take your monitor to your friend's house and see whether it works there
  5. Try using any other source of image, check the back of your monitor to learn what else you can plug, other than a computer
Each combination you try will give you more information, until you have enough data to isolate the problem. It *could* be that your computer's resolution is not supported by the monitor, but I doubt it.

A volume box keeps popping up on my E-Machines monitor (E181H). If I press one of the buttoms on the bottom of the monitor, the pop up goes away, but it keeps popping up periodically. The box shows a...

Wondering if you resolved it and how I was having the same issue have taken my screen apart and it is not the button pressing seems to be a deeper routed issue. I have tried driver re-install, change of start up and various other items none are resolving it. I think it maybe a issue directly related to the manufactoring of the E181H Monitor.

Emachine monitor (eview 15l, model 568) will only show a ''VGA NO Support'' message. Menu button also not cooperating. Computer works well with a different monitor. Fixable?

I have the same monitor and get the same error message. To fix it I went to
"Display Settings" then
"Advanced Settings" then
"Monitor tab" and set the refresh rate to 75 Hertz Then go to
"Adapter Tab" and select list all modes
Find a setting with 75 Hertz mode and and the resolution you want
and select Accept Good luck!

Monitor screen picture won't stay on for longer than a second

I had the same problem with my eMachine t3418. Site advisor Micromend suggested changing the power supply to more wattage. Very much recommend doing that. I did but it didn't fix the problem. Micromend also advised trying a video card. I bought a cheap vid card and installed it. It worked. Apparently MY problem was in the motherboard and the vid card worked around that. Much cheaper than replacing the computer. I'm NOT a tech. Just sharing my experience with what worked for me. I you have a laptop or a friend does, hook your monitor to it to test that it's okay first though.

Weird blink problem...

That's definitely a hardware (incompatiblity) problem. Download the most updated driver for the graphics card. Also see if there is a monitor driver for the monitor.

I understand it worked seamlessly for the emachine but you should switch it back for a day or two to rule out the monitor just screwing up.

Monitor

it's a problem with the graphic card, not the monitor, try finding another driver.
