The broiler does not heat up on magic chef gas range. How do I know that gas is getting to the burner? The top four burners work fine, but the pilot light for the oven and broiler, I don't think is on. Please help

You should start by measuring the current flow to the bake ignitor, or checking to see if the ignitor is even getting voltage. There are articles on what to measure on ignitors and how to make basic electrical measurements .
If the ignitor is not getting voltage at all, then trace the circuit back to find where the voltage is getting interruted. Thermostats are common culprits.
-Sounds like your oven has a separate ignitor for bake and broil. If so, your valve is a two-port valve and you should check the bimetal in the bake port to ensure that it hasn't been blown.
Hope that helps..............

Try to replace the ignitor if it is more than 3 or 4 yrs. old..If it not that old then Turn the knob to the pilot setting and depress the handle. Holding it down and at the same time, press down on the red button that sparks. You may have to repeat this a few times. Once the pilot lights, continue to hold down on the pilot knob for about 30 seconds. When you release the knob, the flame should stay oN. If it does not, replace the thermocouple. Once the pilot flame is steady, turn the gas valve knob to on!!!..Thank you...
Hope this helps you!!...
