Question about Computers & Internet
With your system turned OFF and unplugged, look at the front of the drive, you will see a tiny hole to one side. Open up a paperclip, insert it into this hole and push gently. The door will pop open. Pull gently the rest of the way.
If this has been the first occurance of this, try just turning your system back on and allow the drawer to close on its own. Then try opening it the correct way again.
If the door fails to open again - most likely the belt for the drive is bad. DVD/CD drives are fairly inexpensive these days and would probably be best to replace it.

On the G4's if you press the mouse on the right side - holding it down while the computer is booting up, it will open the rom drive.
