Hello,
You can clean the lens with rubbing alcohol or one of the lens cleaner discs or u can try spraying compressed air into it.. If that doesn't work, I would guess the pickup is bad... At which point you would be better off just buying a new CD mech...But if you can open it then try to unhook and then reattached the cd changer cable...HOpe this helps you....Thank you....

Regards!!!...

Please clarify what you mean by "will not accept CDs". If the CDs won't physically load, the loading mechanism might be out of timing sequence or the loading belt may be slipping and not allowing thte load cycle to complete. If the CDs load properly, but are not being read, then look at the lens and try cleaning it using a cotton swab and alcohol.

Keep us posted.

According to the user's guide if you get that error it means that there could be a CD inside upside down but in this case it could be that the lens did not went back to its default position. The default position of the lens assembly should be close to the motor that makes the CD to rotate.

Clarion DXZ655mp won't accept or eject cd's. I've checked the manual with no luck. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to fix it?

It is internal and will have to be sent in for repair, or buy a new unit. Some electronic shops in your area may do repair and if not send it into the manufacturer. May cost more than purchasing another unit after shipping and etc.

Cd player will not accept cds

Im a retired installer so let me talk u thru this. If you can disconnect the power plug from back of unit, pull it out give it a few seconds, plug it back in. U should hear a mech. Noise( that's the CD mech loading. If you don't hear any noise, u probly have a def. Unit. It is also a chance u have a cd already loaded and stuck. If u look carefully u can see a disc in it. The other issue could be a power issue on your yellow wire. Last but not least, not knowing the history, your unit mite be binding. Hope that helps

If you know how to remove the radio then open the unit and remove one by one. Make sure you are ejecting cd's properly.

2005 s40 cd(holds 6) player stuck - reads deck error?

that is one of worse nightmare when you have a magazine loader in the systems when the cd get stuck. its common to all cd player some has better luck than others, Only thing I recommend is to take it to your local stereo shop or do it your self taking the unit apart and remove the cd. Keep in mind, when having magazine loader, some of the older unit will not read the new format or burn disk and it will read no disk or error and the cd will get lock. if the unit cant read the cd, majority of the time its does recognize there is a cd in unit. try tuning on and off couple of time and keep pressing eject button. you may have to do it 8-10 times to see if that will release the stuck cd.

I had the same problem, CD not accepted by unit and pressing source button to select CD player causes unit to display reset.
Using reset button just causes unit to 'whir' for a while, problem is not solved. Firstly with unit switched off, and the ignition off I inserted a CD using some gentle force, I then inserted a second CD, forcing it in over the top of the first. Next I pressed and held the reset button for a short time before releasing it. Both CDs were ejected, when the unit had stopped I took the CDs out, replaced the front panel and turned on the ignition, The unit will now accept CDs and eject them O.K.

(This did take two attempts to get right). Seems to reset the eject status of the CD player.

Load problem and error message

Did you try to reset it? Look for a small button that only be press with a toothpicker or something that small. Another way to reset is to disconnect the battery. Goodluck.
