SOURCE: Frigidaire Dishw. Error code CL

this just happened to ours and it turned out to be the gasket that seals the door.

when you see the CL error and the door is indeed shut, pull gently back on the door. if you hear a click and the unit starts running again, it may be the gasket.

ours lost it's ability to keep the seal, allowing enough 'play' in the locking mechanism for it to think the door was not closed.

SOURCE: Can't find the model number on Frigidaire dishwasher

The nomenclature should be located on the left side on the inside of the tub right by the front when you open the door. It is most likely an fdb series example fdb1050. however the drain hose pn 154606701 is the factory replacement for most frigidaire dishwashers ten years or less.

SOURCE: error code E2

Error Code E2 means the pump is blocked. The remedy is to take the filter out which is underneath the bottom dish basket and ensure its is clean and free from debris. Then use a small container to empty the water sitting in the bottom of the machine/filter housing and ensure that no waste is stuck in the bottom. That should clear it

SOURCE: Please help me figure out why my Frigidaire dishwaher will not tu

Following is a complete trouble shooting process.

My first guess for you is a stuck float valve. Check below and you will see the process to check.

Start with the simple things and work your way from there. You will be amazed how many people call a plumber who flips a breaker or simply clears a stuck float valve (for $80 minimal fee).

If no lights are coming on.

First check the breaker to the machine.

If you have an exposed power source to the machine such as a plug or junction box open the box and check the wiring is intact and not rusted etc. Take care here and shut the breaker off first.

No go so far?

Check if your float valve is jammed.

The valve is a safety feature to stop the machine from over filling. If anything gets under the valve it will jam open and stop the machine.
Look inside the machine on the floor will be a small float valve. Looks like a small upside down cup. Lift it and clear anything from underneath.

Not the float valve either?

Check the door interlock latch.

Much like a washing machine a dishwasher will only operate with the door closed (or when it thinks it is closed!). There is a metal tab that engages a switch in the door. This is the same switch that activates as you operate the handle to open the door. If it is misaligned it will not signal the machine that the door is closed and the machine will not operate.

You can check this by overriding the locking tab. Put a screwdriver in the door latch and press the switch. You should see the lights come on and power flow to the machine.

Note: if the machine is in run mode you will get water spraying.

To fix this problem bend the tap to properly engage the switch. Or if necessary loosen the screws retaining the switch and move it to correctly align with the tab.

Not it?

OK now you are into electronics.

First is quite simple. Some units have an internal fuse to protect the control panel. Check that first. Take your time and take care. Turn the breaker off.

The control panel is screwed in place. Remove the screws and gently remove the control panel. Take care not to have parts of the door latch fall out or springs drop out etc. On newer units it is very simple as it is just a circuit board. Look for the fuse and check that it is OK. Replace if necessary.

=======================================================

Do you have water in the bottom of the machine?

Power is there, lights are one, seems to want to work. Water will come in but will not drain.

A small amount around the drain is normal for some machines. This is held to keep the pump primed in some units. However it should not fill the bottom of the unit. You know what it normally looked like so it if is full then you probably have a jammed float valve as above or a clog in the drain.

Drain clog.

Remove the cover from the drain in the bottom of the dishwasher. They usually lift out or have a few screws holding them down. Simple to figure out just take your time and try not to force anything. Look for a clog and clear if necessary.

Your drain can run either direct to the drain under the sink or to the disposal unit if you have one. The drain can clog at either point.

Check by disconnecting the drain line from the dishwasher where if connects to the sink or disposal unit. Look for a clog and clear if necessary.

Water exits the machine via the drain pump. If it is not operating the machine will not drain. It will fill usually to the point where the float valve lifts and does its job by stopping the machine before if floods your house.
If you have water in the machine to the point the float valve is lifted then drain it out first.

Your machine should be running now. Lights will come on and it will run again to the point where if fills with water and trips the float valve again. If so then check the pump and timer (see also timer below).

Remove the units as per below.

If your pump is belt driven check he belt (very few have belts).

If direct drive switch the unit on and let if run to the drain cycle. If the pump does not come on check for voltage at the pump during the drain cycle. If you have voltage replace the pump. If not it is the timer that is faulty (see below).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK now your are getting to some deeper issues. Not necessarily hard but only go here if the simple things are OK.

If you are not getting water into the unit but you have lights on and you hear clicking and the timer runs and things are trying to work then we know you have power and the timer is running.

No water coming to the unit.

Make sure nobody shut the supply line off. There should be a tap under the sink on the water supply line to the unit.

Turn the unit on an listen at the base for a click as the water supply solenoid (electric switch) opens. No click?

Check the solenoid. Remove the machine from under the counter. There will be screws holding it to the underside of the counter. You may have to lower the legs to get it out. They turn with a wrench to lower.

Under the unit where the water supply line comes in is a solenoid switch it opens to allow the water to enter the machine. Water comes in under household pressure (it is not pumped in by the unit). Chances are it is faulty. Replace it as it can't be serviced.

Still no luck?

The unit is guided by a timer. The timer tells the machine what to do and for how long. If it fails the unit will stop or jam in one cycle. If you have a physical switch the you turn to select the type of wash cycle check it. If you are all touch control then replace the whole board or machine.

To check the switch open the control panel above and use a voltage tester to see if you have current at each cycle point. Cleaning sometimes helps if not replace.

Hope this helps you. Please rate this tip for me.

Frigidaire dishwasher leaks from motor

This is caused by the cheap bearing's in the motor. Even after I have replaced my $200.00 motor assembly it still leaks. put a small flat dish under it as the leak should be small and when the dishwasher starts making a loud noise the bearings are gone and I do not recommend replacing motor as it is half the price of washer itself. I myself will never buy a fridgidaire again. However if you do replace the motor assembly it is very easy and there is a video on youtube showing you how. good luck

Frigidaire 24 in. FDB4315LFC3 STAINLESS STEEL ERROR CODE UO

Hi Mark, thank you for your post!

Error code UO commonly means that the vent is in an open position. While your Frigidaire dishwasher is in wash cycle, the main control board is not receiving signal from the vent assembly.

Before reaching out to a professional, let's try resetting your dishwasher. This can be done by flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your dishwasher on. This often clears most false-error codes. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, a professional will need to check the wiring between the vent assembly and main control board.

Best of luck!

Message "er" and "uo" on front panel and slight bumping noise

The UO code on most Frigidaire dishwashers means that the vent at the back of the dishwasher is open (or at least the sensor is claiming it is open). Since this vent should be closed except during the drying cycle, the unit will not start. This avoids having the washer spray water into your cabinet during the wash cycle.

The vent sensor is an optical sensor that is inside the vent assembly. So there are a few places that could fail causing the error. First check the wiring and the connectors for the wires between the vent and the CCU (main control board). If there are any broken wires or corrosion the message may not be reaching the control board. Replace any faulty wiring. If the wiring is fine, try replacing the vent assembly. On some Frigidaire models, the wiring and the vent assembly need to be replaced at the same time. If that doesn't solve the problem then the control board needs to be replaced.

Please note: when I look at the parts for the FDB1050REC0, I found a static dryer vent, http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-static-dry-vent-154433001-ap3214620.html . Please make sure that you are buying the parts for the correct model dishwasher.

I hope this helps.

Frigidaire 4000 series dishwasher error code

This is likely an indication of a problem with the circulation pump motor under the dishwasher like maybe a bad circulation pump motor but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

Dishwasher er error code

I have a similar problem with my Frigidaire FDB4050LHS1. My Owner's Manual says to contact the Customer Care Center if the display shows "Er", "uF", or "CE". When I called them, Maria didn't have a clue what the codes meant - all she could do was give me phone numbers to authorized service centers in my area.

I managed to get ahold of a "SERVICE DATASHEET" P/N: 154718601. The error code "ER/ER" means there is a "switch failure"; "ER/CE" denotes a "Configuration Error"; "ER/uo" means "Vent will not close"; and "ER/UF" means "Fan not running".

The schematic only labels three switches - labeled "USER INTERFACE SWITCH", "DOOR SWITCH", and "FLOAT SWITCH". There is also a switch in the pump motor assembly. If either the door or user interface switch is faulty, then you probably won't be able to do anything other than call a repair service - unless you know how to replace these switches yourself.

If the float switch is causing the error, you might be able to run the "Water/Service Test". From "PF" (denoting a Power Failure) or idle mode (with no lights on whatsoever), press and hold the "DRY/AIRDRY" and "START/CANCEL" buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. This will start an 8-stage test that runs for about 7 and 1/2 minutes. The display will show which step the test is in until it shows an error code. Step 1 tests the water valve, which is where the float switch is located. If that switch is bad, you will likely see "Uo" displayed within the first minute of the test.

Error code

We had the same problem with our Frigidaire dishwasher (different model though). We called them and they said the UO stands for Vent Open (the display can't make a V so it makes a U). The active vent was not closing when it should be closed (the repairman said the gasket was stuck up in the assembly so sometimes it would seal and sometimes it wouldn't) and thus the error. Since our machine was still under warranty, we had the vent replaced at no cost and haven't had the problem since.

Error code ER then UO any ideas?

So far so good. I fixed mine by removing the vent and even though it says no repairable parts I disassembled it then removed the rubber gasket and cleaned it with a brush under hot water. I then cleaned the plastic ring it seals against. Next I removed the spring and stretched it to make it about a quarter inch longer and then reinstalled the spring then the rubber gasket and then closed up the unit. So far it is working fine. I suspect the real problem is that there is a tiny sensor that needs to be covered when the vent is closed. If this is not covered the uo error code is generated.
