Throttle position sensor. Pull the plug and clean it with brake clean. Never use thinner on your car it eats rubber. Brake clean cleans oil and carbon and doesn't leave a residue. And it doesn't eat the seals out of sensors. It drys to quick.

2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5 liter, 6 cylinder. Looking for the idle air control (IAC) valve location please.

The 2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5L does not utilize an idle air control (IAC) valve. Instead, an electronic throttle control (ETC) system is used which Suzuki calls the "main throttle idle actuator" (MTIA). This component is the throttle body assembly but with an internal motor that adjusts the throttle plate open or closed based on accelerator pedal position inputs to the engine control module (ECM). Similarly, the ECM adjusts the throttle plate angle at idle to control idle speed. If the idle speed is not correct, the throttle body may need to be cleaned, calibrated or replaced. Transmission shifts hard, at times hard to get into gear

if it is a manual transmission then broken mounts are always a good place to start looking
next is a clutch problem nor disengaging properly--again a mount problem
if it is an auto the the mount is immaterial as it will be a selector sensor problem

How do I do a throttle body replacement relearn on a 04 isuzu ascender

The relearn is done by unhooking the battery for 30-60 minutes. With all HVAC OFF, hook the battery back up and drive your Ascender around for about 40 min or so, at this time, it will relearn. To test it, stop the vehicle put it in park and turn your AC on, if your car doesn't show signs of boggin down or trying to die on you, your relearn was done correctly. This is all assuming that your throttle body is CLEAN!!! If it's not clean, your idle will be bad and engine will try and die on you at idle when your AC or Defroster are on. Relearn should of already been done---> you always disconnect the battery when cleaning the throttle body, as to not to damage the stepper motor that moves the butterfly. To properly clean the throttle body and for best results, always remove the entire throttle body and clean BOTH sides with a sensor safe spray like Seafoam and a rag or nylon brush, you can reuse the hard plastic gasket. Hope this helps!

2004 Saturn Ion with M75 automatic transmission

I believe this is almost the same engine and transmission as my 2002 Saturn LW200. We had problems with lurching, jerky shifting and occasional stalling. I was worried that the transmission was going out. Got a transmission service for $150 which they need after 125k miles anyway. Turned out to be the throttle position sensor (TPS). I was able to fix it by cleaning the TPS with WD-40 but your engine has drive-by-wire if I'm not mistaken which makes it more complicated. What this means is that your gas pedal is not directly connected to the throttle body with a cable. it works something similar to a volume knob and tells the computer how much to open the throttle body butterfly. A drive-by-wire throttle system is best left to someone with skills in that area. A shop should be able to read the codes and determine if your drive-by-wire system is working well. That will be much less expensive that a transmission rebuild.

Hello: Remove the ducting going from the air cleaner to the throttle plate, clean the carbon off the throttle plate and the throttle body bore. Do not spray excess carb cleaner into the throttle body. Hold the throttle plate open with your hand and spray carb cleaner on a soft rag and clean off carbon. When finished key on engine off for 10 seconds key off for 10 seconds do this a total of three tines.

Can i use carburator cleaner on throttle body on 2004 mitsubishi galant

yes, do not use too much, i advise either remove thr throttle and clean out, then leave it off to dry out. or spay the carb cleaner into a rag and cleanout the trottle with the rag. if you use a lotof spary will be hard to get the engine started after and will blow out a lot of smoke. may run rough for a min or 2 until it burns out the carbon that this stuff will clean out.

Idle speed is low when put into gear, then jumps up and down; emissions light occassionally flashes. Seems to be a problem with engine timing or fuel intake ...

I would have throttle body and mass air flo cleaned and see how she runs after that.If these items get dirty they can mess with computer and make engine run erratic.if still running bad have tps sensore checked.(throttle position sensor)these are noteted for idle jumping around.

What is a throttle body failure. and if not repair what will happen to my car suzuki 2004 verona has since oct 17.2003 the mileage now is 41,880. how much do throttle cost.

this throtthle body is electronicaly managed. the las thing you want to do is clean it with carb cleaner it will sip into the motor mechanism and ruin the circuit board. i say this because traction control idle control are both intergrated in this throttle body via a motor that controls the flap inside even though it still is ran by a cable. most electronic tb's are completely motorized requiring no cable. these you do not want to clean like that. you use a wet rag with non ether cleaner its harder but beats $500 plus for a new TB once it fails because of imporper cleaning.
the tps is also intergrated...
