    Sounds not very bad.

The model is CT27SF21, 27", 1994. Now the screen is steady pink with good audio right after it is turned on both at channel or vedio position.

Is it possible to be fixed under $100? Otherwise I just get rid of it. Need suggestions to make my mind. Thanks.

Anything is fixable just a matter of cost or availability of parts.

Looking at the cost maximum that you have set (and probably a good thing with the age of the TV) I would look at replacing it now as you will pay at least half of that just for a shop to look at it. I would almost bet you are looking a t a bad CRT (picture tube) and the cost on those will exceed $100 and that doesn't include the labor for installation and alignment. It could be the video driver transistors or what they call the jungle IC in the TV. In that case you will still approach the limit fast. Since that TV doesn't have a digital tuner in it I say replace it. That is my opinion and I have been repairing TV's for more than 26 (gulp) years now. Good luck and hopefully that information helps.

NO PICTURE

Refer to the manual (free download here). Generally, a blue screen indicates a very low or non-existent signal. This can happen when the antenna is unable to gather enough of a signal from a particular broadcaster, or if an A/V input is selected, but the A/V device is not on or providing a signal. Since you are not seeing channel information when tuning, I suspect that the television is set to display an A/V input instead of the internal tuner.

With a working remote, locate the TV/AV button on the lower left (manual page 3 - item 8). When this button is pressed, you can choose to display signals on the ANT, VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT jacks. The ANT selection chooses the input on the RF jack such as an antenna or cable TV (with or without converter box). If using a cable box, the TV tuner should be set to Ch3 or Ch4 as determined by your cable box. Otherwise, select the VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT input that has the source signals you wish to watch from a cable box, DVD player, etc. that is connected to the rear input jacks. Page 7 of the manual details the connection and remote operation.

I hope this helps!

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

For the spots....

I had the same problem, first a blue spot then a green spot showed up. I contacted Panasonic Customer Support. They sent someone out and they fixed the TV for free. They reprogrammed the EEPROM chip in the TV. It is a defect. My TV was 4 years old and out of warranty. They came out last week.

So long as it is not happening by something you have done. It will be fixed free of charge. Call them, it solves the problem.

You have to choose the right INPUT on your TV where your DVD player was connected. If your using the Yellow/Red/White cable from your DVD player you need to choose on your TV the input Example Video1 Video2, etc... If your using the COAX,(like cable wire) Put your TV on Channel 3 or 4. Hope this may help you. Please post the outcome, if you need further help. Is this TV is a COMBO?
