Question about Bosch SHU9915UC Dishwasher

Is there a way to turn off the cycle completion signal. I have a Bosch SHY66C02UC/14

I have an SHY model but have the same problem. The manual gives identical instructions for chaning the amount of rinse aid dispensed AND changing the volume of the cycle completion cycle (including turning it off).

When I follow the instructions, the LED display behaves like I am doing the first one. I figured they just gave the wrong button in the manual, but it doesn't seem like the other buttons work.

OK, I think I have figured this out. Let me first give this important piece of information. The control panel for my dishwasher was replaced recently. That's why I now have to deal with this issue. I have a Bosch SHY66C model. As I stated in a previous post, the user manual I found on the web has identical structions for changing the amount of rinse aid dispensed and for changing the volume on the cycle completion beeper (or for disabling it). Following the instructions fixed the former.

Here is what I did

1) With dishwasher off, I pressed and held the "Delay Start Hours" button
2) I pressed the on/off button. The beeper begin to sound.
3) I released both buttons (not sure this step is necessary)
4) I repeatedly pressed the "Delay Start Hours" button until the signal turned off
(LED display showed 0)
5) I pressed the on/off button (not sure this still is necessary)

That seems to have fixed the problem. So, I don't know if the user manual is wrong or my control panel was replaced with one from a different model (such as the SHU9950 where I found these instructions).

Bosch Dishwasher Model # SHU53E02UC/14 started running about 3 times longer than it should and its not cleaning very well.

If the Rinse cycles completes within the normal time, but other cycles are slow - particularly a Heavy or Super Scrub cycle - it is most likely that the water heating is not happening or is very slow. The control will not advance (proceed) the cycle until the temperature sensor signals the control board that the water temperature is correct. Otherwise the control will wait, indefinitely, for the heating to happen. This also affects cleaning and drying performance. Loose wire connectors, bad heater, bad temperature sensors or a bad controller are possibilities.

Bosch end cycle beeping

The Self-Help section in your manual states you can adjust the volume or deactivate the beeping signal. Instructions on how to do so are supposed to be in the "cycle completion signal" section of the manual which it appears the tech writers forgot to include in the published version of the manual. I have not worked with this particular model so your best option now is to call their customer service number and talk to someone that knows how to turn it off. FYI, their customer service phone number is 800-944-2904.

How do you disable the cycle completion signal/beep on the Bosch SHU9915UC dishwasher?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think can answer your question..."How do you disable the cycle completion signal/beep on the Bosch SHU9915UC dishwasher?"

Follow these steps...

**How to Operate the Cycle Completion Signal**

1. Open door, hold down program button (see
Beeper Table below) and simultaneously turn the unit "ON".

MODEL Program BUTTON

SHU 9950 Delay Start Hours
**SHU 9910-9920 Delicate/Econo** should be yours
SHU 8800/8810 Quick Wash

SHV 6800 Delay Start Hours
SHV 4800 Delicate/Econo
SHV 4300 Delicate/Econo

2. Release program button.
a. For SHV 6803 and SHU9950 models:
The display will blink with a code of "0", "1" or
"2". You are in program mode.

• If the display blinks with a "0", you will hear
no signal (indicates OFF).

• If the display blinks with a "1", you will hear a
LOW volume signal.

• If the display blinks with a "2", you will hear a
HIGHER volume signal.

b. For all other models with the beeper
function:

• If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.

• When you push the button again and it does
not beep, it means that the Cycle Completion
Signal has been disabled.

3. To change the program, press the program
button until the desired setting is selected.

4. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of
program mode.

* At the end of a wash cycle, the beeper will sound
off two times, and again every 15 minutes until the
dishwasher is turned off.

Hope this answers your question and provides you with what you needed.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Please take a moment to rate the solution provided and a short testimony if you feel it's warranted, but also let me know if you require further assistance.

After the wash cycle dishwasher beeps

Hello, welcome to FixYa. While I don't have access to my PC files at the moment as I am on my iphone, I believe this is the procedure for most B/S/H/ built dishwashers ( that means Bosch, Thermador, Siemens and Gaggenau ). To Enable or Disable the Cycle Completion Signal... 1. Open the door, hold down the ?Quick Wash? button and simultaneously turn the Dishwasher on. The ?Quick Wash? light will blink (program mode). 2. While the light is still blinking, push the ?Quick Wash? button. ? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle Completion Signal has been enabled. ? When you push the button again and it doesn?t beep, it means that the Cycle Completion Signal has been disabled. 3. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of program mode. I hope this answer's your question. Thank you for choosing "fixya". Please rate the solution favorably if indeed it was helpful, if not please let me know. Good luck. macmarkus :)
