Question about Acer Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop
For some reason I am not able to boot up my laptop to. it tells me no operations system can be found.......I purchased this laptop from Best Buy and I was not given a back up to the vista operation system
Many times this error message indicates a hard drive failure. You will need an operating system disc in order to fix this or determine if the hard drive has failed. There is no other way around it unless you want to take it to a shop for repair. I wouldn't recommend Bestbuy, their very expensive. At Bestbuy you're looking at around $200 just for the system reload, this doesn't include a new hard drive if it has failed. If you decide to do this yourself, again, you will need an operating system disc, then do a system repair. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hard drive and install a fresh operating system. If you have any problems during or after the format or reload, then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced.
