Question about Garmin eTrex Legend GPS Receiver
If you have a unit that is out of warantee and are willing to open it up, you could open it, very simple no screws.
Once you have the plastic off, there will be two philips screws holding the screen board in place, remove the two screws and gently raise the screen board peering under you will see a flex film, this should attach the lcd assembally to the screen board.
Check to see if the flex film is firmly in place, if not there is a little plastic goodie that slides over the film where it attaches to the screenboard. Make sure that it is in place and that the flex film is securly in place.
If that fails check to make sure that there are no cracks on the lcd itself.
All else fails you may have a problem with the GPS board itself.
