Our fax machine - panasonic model fp-342 can't received fax due to error display "fax memory full" . How can i fix that?

This fax machine stores the faxes in memory and then prints them out.

If it's unable to print them, is either because there is no paper or no ink.
The memory eventually gets full and stops receiving faxes.

HP6110 All in one

When the HP Office jet series all-in-one front panel screen displays Memory Full, the HP Office jet all-in-one is not able to send, receive or forward faxes. Copying will also not work. WORKAROUND: Though the memory buffer should clear itself automatically after proceeding with the next task, like receiving a fax or starting a copy job, these suggestions below may help you clearing the memory buffer by:
  • Add paper to the HP Officejet series paper tray
  • Clear a possible print jam and proceed printing the fax.
  • Reduce the copying or faxing resolution via the front panel's menu.
  • Use the HP Manager to send a (group) fax or making a copy. More memory is available this way, as the HP Manager utilizes the PC memory. When sending a group fax, the HP Officejet all-in-one's memory is filled to capacity. To copy in color is only possible from the HP Officejet Manager.
  • Press START to clear the message. If this message persists, unplug the power cord, and after at least 15 seconds plug the power cord in.
CAUSE: The HP Officejet series memory may be full due to: Copying on Photo quality or sending a group dial, which will use an extensive part of the internal memory's capacity. No paper in the paper supply tray, while receiving a fax. This may result that the data remains in the buffer. Print jam while receiving a fax or copying. The data is still stored in the buffer. System error displayed on the HP Officejet display window. SUMMARY: The HP Officejet series will not fax or copy without sufficient memory to store the data of the page in the buffer before printing the receiving fax or the copy.

My Sharp UX-355L Fax machine printed unwanted information

Sounds like you have the machine set up to print reports on all occasions, fax transmission, error, etc. You can change this by doing the following:
1 Press these keys:
The display will show:
4
FUNCTION
TRANSACTION LIST
2 Press a number from 1 to 5 to select
the condition for printing.
ALWAYS PRINT A report will be printed after each
transmission, reception, or error.
ERR/TIMER/MEM A report will be printed after an error,
timer operation, or memory operation.
SEND ONLY A report will be printed after each
transmission.
NEVER PRINT A report will never be printed.
ERROR ONLY A report will be printed only when an
error occurs.
To print from memory:
If the memory becomes full...
If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned,
MEMORY IS FULL will appear in the display.
♦ Press the START/MEMORY key if you want to transmit the pages
which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining
pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory
will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You
will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when
the memory filled up.
♦ Press the STOP key if you want to cancel the entire transmission.

Hope this helps. : )

MFC 440-CN out of memory error, fax memory is full I cn't send any more faxes, I called Brother tech support they told me that there is no way to clear the memory, that I had to leave the printer unplugged...

Try this :
To resolve this situation do the following:

1. If another operation is in progress (example: receiving a fax,
printing, etc), press STOP/EXIT, wait until it's completed and then try
again.

2. Clear the machines memory. This can be done by turning off Advanced
Fax Operations.

a. Press MENU.

b. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Fax.

c. Press OK.

d. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Advanced Fax Operation.

e. Press OK.

f Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Fwd/Page/Store.

g. Press OK.

h. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose Off.

i. Press OK.

j. Press STOP/EXIT.

If received faxes are left in your machine's memory when you change the
Advanced Fax Operations and a backup copy has already been printed, the
LCD will ask:

Erase All Fax?

Yes - Press 1
No - Press 2

If received faxes are left in your machine's memory when you change the
Advanced Fax Operations and a backup copy has not yet been printed, the
LCD will ask:

Print All Fax?

Yes - Press 1
No - Press 2

# If you press 1, faxes in the memory will be erased or printed before
the setting changes.

# If you press 2, faxes in the memory will not be erased or printed and
the setting will be unchanged.

k. Try your operation again.

Good luck...

Cannot receive fax ...

Many fax machines have little internal buffer memory and the memory serves to receive a paket of signals which arrive faster than can be printed but when it is full, it may pause so the printing portion can catch up.

Check your manual for the phrase 'buffer memory' to see if they discuss why and when this might happen.

It's possible that the machine is still on line and has just paused waiting for the buffer to reduce its contents.

Dear guys, your toner cartridge is low and as a preventive measure, the unit stores the faxes in order to give priority to copying and printing. If you are using remanufactured cartridges, the unit might not be displaying the low toner warning.
