32 toshiba standard tv

-   We have a similiar problem with our Toshiba. Yesterday, the TV shut down on its own and now when the power button ispressed, the red light goes on for a second or 2 and then goes back off. I have tried different plugs etc. Is it time for a LCD or is the power supply (assume its that) repairable? -   hansepp

-   I have a Toshiba 27" CRT with flat screen - model 27AFX54C - it's 4 years old. A few weeks ago, it turned off while I was watching it. Then last night, I turned it off from the remote, and now it will not turn on again at all using either the remote or the button on the TV itself.

I have it plugged into a surge protector bar. Everything else on the bar is working and those things are not usually all on at the same time. I tried it in a different plug on the bar and still nothing. I have not tried it in an entirely different outlet as there isn't one nearby.

Any ideas?
