Question about Philips Magnavox 20MT133S 20" TV

Digital converter box hook up

We recently purchased a digital converter box for our analog magnavox tv, along with an antenna. hooked it up per instructions included, but now our dvd and vhs players won't work. what do we have to do to get them to work properly in conjunction with our converter box. (we cannot afford to buy a new digital/hd/blue ray tv!) Radio Shack and Best Buy employees are no help--they only want to sell huge tv's for major bucks!
help!

Can you describe how the DVD and VCR were connected prior to the converter box when they were working? I need to know that in order to guide you properly.

Thanks,
Dan

Do i need a converter box for my rca true flat 27 in? if not how do i connect a digatal antenna i have lost my manual

Your TV will require a Digital Converter Box to recieve over the air Digital Television Signals. You will need to hook up the antenna to the converter box and then hook your converter box to the TV. Hooking your television directly to a digital antenna will not get you Digital signals...only analog signals.

Hook up analog vcr to hd tv

You must have a converter box for the tv and for the vcr. Set the vcr to receive chanel 3 and set the converter box to the digital chanel you want to record. Put a splitter on the antenae out and route one to the tv converter box and one to the vcr converter box. GOOD TO GO.

I PURCHASED A MAGNAVOX TB110MW9 CONVERTER BOX FROM WALMART. I HOOKED IT UP. IT SCANNED THE CHANNELS BUT IT KEEP SAYING NO SIGNAL.

I have a Magnavox TB110MW9A converter box that has worked fine for the last 8 months. Now you turn it on, the light blinks 31 times, stays on and there's nothing on the screen! The remote does nothing. (yes, I put new batteries in)

Do you need a special antenna to hook up a dtv digital to analog

You need a TV antenna, nothing special about it. Hook the antenna up to the converter box, the box up to the TV.

Hook your Insignia box between your antenna and your television. You still need the antenna.

Need to hook up dvd/vcr combo with converter box

Connect your rabbit ears to the Insignia. Connect the Insignia to the antenna input on the "cvd/vcr combo". Now turn on the television to show the "cvd/vcr combo".

The Insignia simply goes between your antenna and your television. In your case you also have a vcr so if you want the VCR to be able to play and record digital stations you will need the Insignia between the vcr and the antenna.

Have a problem

Currently, your switch box likely has several inputs, which as you said are occupied by your DVD Player, XBOX, and your television source. The output of the switch is then fed to your TV.

What you will need to do is insert the DTV converter box BEFORE the switch box. If you have an analog antenna on your TV (rabbit ears) you will need to put the converter box between your antenna and the switch box (the cables, not the box itself) so that your wiring goes like this:

Antenna ---- converter box ---- Switch box
XBOX ---------------------------------switch box
DVD -----------------------------------switch box

And the switch box still goes to the TV. However, you do not NEED to use the converter box until February of 2009.
