We purchased the midland two way radio, the problem is the channel we are on we only can hear every one in our group, but can not communicate if they are on their radio. How can we get on the same frequency as the others? The others in the group also have midland radios too.

You should ask the others what channals they are on if you cant for whatever reason then scan for a frequincy that has others on it by hitting the scan butten and hitting the channal up or channal down butten, if you can tthen talk on each channal in order and wait 10 seconds for a reply then go to another channal and try agean, im not sure if you can hear others unless they have the same brand radio's but i could be wrong, i am also not sure if the scan butten will work so after it goes through all of the channals 2 times then try the other suggestion. you also want to make sure you have good batteries in when you try.

Hope this helps

Not being familiar with the Midland brand, I personally can't give advice for for your query, but there is a solution!!!

Please join (FREE) yahoo group SPECIFIC to your radio Make/Model, I believe a group has started for this make of radio, so they are the people with the expertise and info to assist you, you can find free downloads for manuals, diagrams and software as well for your radio.

I do hope this leads to a resolution to the problem.

Warm Regards,

Trying to get our Motorola (yellow/ black) to communicate with Midland two way radios. They Midland will receive messages from Motorola, but they can not send to it Motorola.

Most likely your CTCSS tone codes are not turned on on the Midland radios. The CTCSS codes are also known as "Privacy Codes" or similar.
They will be from 1 to 38. Your Midland manual will tell how to set the codes on the radios. The Motorolas usually show the selected tone code below the channel number.
Alternately, you may be able to turn off the tone code on the Motorola radio(s) by setting it to "0" or "off". Then you will not need codes turned on on any of your radios and they should all communicate fine.

Need instructions to reset my Midland weather alert radio. Time and channel for Amarilli, TX.

On the Midland Weather Radio WR-100 web page of this website, scroll down until you get to the "Manual" heading. There is a link there (WR-100 Weather/RDS Radio Manual); click it and your instructions manual will come up in a .pdf format. To get the frequency channel for Amarillo, go to this website- http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/CntyCov/nwrTX.htm. I do not know what county you live, so you will have to look at every county listing that has your city name in its group. When you find the information you need, insert it into your radio.

I purchased a Midland 2 way radio for use in a small library. The series is LXT 110. The problem we are having is with a lot of static and other voices coming in. We have change the channels several times...

This model radio does not have Privacy codes to filter your communications, you should change them for a model with this feature. A radio with this feature you have to choose the channel first then the privacy code in both radios or in all radios that want to communicate with, if any radio that is in the same channel but with a diferent privacy code, will not be heard
