Kyocera printer hookup to iMac using Ethernet connection

I am trying to hookup my Kyocera FS3800 printer using the Ethernet connection, for my printer does not have a USB connection.
I am using an Ethernet crossover cable to connect the two.
The printer driver is also no problem. I am also using the Printer's IP address.
However, it is not printing.
Can you help. Art

    I checked the network printing setting in the printer everything seems OK, however, it is still not printing. Here are the settings: TCP/IP = on;
    IP address = 192.168.001.003; DHCP = off; Netware = on; Ethertalk = on.
    Do you have another suggestion? Thanks Art

Artkerber, make the IPs almost matching and they should operate on the same subnet mask, and preferably the same gateway address. like this way

Computer settings

TCp/IP = on
Ethertalk = on

IP address = 192.168.001.xxx
subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
gateway address + 192.168.001.001

printer settings

IP address = 192.168.001.xxx ( that if the Mac is 003 make the printer 005 or any number between 2-252)
subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
gateway address = 192.168.001.001

once this is done check your Mac printing preferences make sure it uses LPR printing.

good luck

Check the network printing settings in the printer, its a problem in the settings somewhere, unless theres a fault somewhere.

How can i networked my kyocera taskalfa 180

You only have a usb 2 connection.
You can hook it to one p.c and share out the printer to other p.c.s.
You could invest in a router that has provision for sharing out a usb printer connected to it.
You could invest in a USB printer server. see http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/connect/print-servers/dp-301u-10-100-ethernet-usb-print-server. However you need a ethernet network already in place with your other computers. You can connect your other p.c's via ethernet and use a network switch device to connect all devices to one another if you do not have a network or use a wireless Router and wireless adpaters or p.c's but no more than 4 p.cs on wireless.

Why will my T632 not print over Wi-Fi from my 2011 iMac (10.7.4)?

If the Lexmark T632 is already connected through the Ethernet, it will not be possible to connect it through wireless. The printer cannot be configured with both the Ethernet and the wireless function enabled. The printer will choose the physical connection (Ethernet / LAN) over the wireless connection.

Grey shades coming all over the page as well in top back side of paper.

The Developer unit needs to be replaced. It gives background over entire page. If the printer is under 3 years old and is original unit (developer unit) you can get a new one free from Kyocera. Very good warr. from them. Phone number is 1 800438 6482 prompt 2 ; # for the part DV-62. Have your serial # and a status page with you. I work on Kyocera FS printers. Good luck. Russ
