Question about Northgate (STAX2517C2) PC Desktop

No audio output divice

No sound from my desktop..it comes up saying no audio output device

    it tells me that there is no audio card in the computer and prior to resetting the computer from a severe crash there was sound a plenty.

My computer says that there is No Audio Output Device installed

Go to Control panel -->sound device ---> check the sound device is getting enable (or) not. If not enable the sound drivers is not install properly, at the same time check the BIOS setting sound device is enable or not...

Sir my windows media player is not running , it shows sound divice is not installed so how can i install sound divice


Check for the sound driver on ur system... see if the same is installed or not... To acess device manager in windows system... u need to click on Start-> then go to Run -> in the run box just type devmgmt.msc & u'll get th device manager to show up... In the device manager just check for sound video & games controller... If there is a yellow ? mark then u need to reinstall the drivers or else if there is a yellow exclamation mark then there is a driver conflict for the audio device on ur system...

Output device


what do u mean audio system do u mean to say no sound comes at all ?
if yes first try with a working speaker or a head phone if still no progress go to device manager
right click on my computer > properties > hardware > device manager > and delete everything which is under audio and game controler > restart the system
and than try see you have sound
if your sound card is good ur issue is resolved

Then go to control panel,system ,hardware ,device manager option
There if u find any question mark or exclamation mark in yellow Color that means sound drivers are not installed properly
please reinstall sound drivers properly

or else

If no question mark or exclamation mark then check the cable connections of the speaker to the machine

or else

In control panel , select sound audio devices open it there u have
volume,sounds,audio,voice,hardware options

1)See whether it is mute
2)In audio option select default audio device and recording device
should be same

this should solve u r problem .if it is not solved please let me know u r problem briefly

Audio device driver gone missing


you have to find out what kind of audio device sound card onboard etc a card will say on it for onboard you may have to find out what kind of mtherboard you have or look a the manual if you have it then when you find out what kind of device you have go to driverguide.com take a survey ,register and its free

On sound audio diveces properties say NO SOUND DIVICE


Under device manager of control panel, delete all uninstalled drivers, restart machine.

Install all sound drivers again.

default onboard audio will come , if you have a driver cd insert the cd and open device manager in other devices will show click on yellow mark device and give cd-drive path it will take the drivers

Emachine T1840 Sound, Ethernet, & Usb Trouble


I had the same problem. The drivers on the manufacturer's site did not work. Only the original drivers on the CD that came with the motherbaord.
