Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7 Digital Camera
Hi this error message just started happening last week while I was on vacation. It is currently only occurring when I attempt to zoom in for a picture.
Note: I have been very careful with this camera....i.e. has never been dropped or mishandled over the time I've owned it (since January'07).
This error message should mean there is an internal malfunction in the camera. The most common malfunction that would cause this message is something is obstructing the movement of the lens (i.e. sand). I would first try removing the batteries and the memory card for about two minutes and then reinserting them. If this doesn't work you could try blowing compressed air into the side of the lens to try and dislodge whatever is stuck in the lens. If this doesn't work I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. You could bring it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they could send it out to an authorized service center. I hope this helps!
