Use a small screw driver and break out the tamper proof pins - I have done that in the past. You can also now buy Torx bits that are drilled for tamper proof screws.

While it is exasperating not to be able to easily perform routine maintenance on my microwave because of these fasteners (I just want to replace the lightbulb!), I am aware that there are folks out there who may not be savvy to the risks of microwave exposure if operating the microwave unit without the proper shielding. And,yes, it is a matter of time before more people get tools to attempts this, we should all be cautious about the dangers there.
Oh, ---in full disclosure, I also now want to fix the door which is no longer popping open upon finger-tip command.

I have a Bosch steam iron TDS25, and the handle of the iron is getting red hot and water is coming out of the back of the iron. Help!!

Steam irons become clogged from water deposits. You may clean your iron with white vinegar and water. You should use distilled water. Make a Mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, and pour the mixture into the iron as you would when you fill the iron with water. Turn the iron on 'steam' and let the mixture run through. You may need to do this a few times, depending on how clogged the iron is. After cleaning use distilled water to fill the iron, becuase distilled water leaves minimul deposits behind.

I hit the start button on my Whirlpool microwave oven model no. MH7110XBB-5 but got nothing but a click. Any thoughts?

The control board that is located behind the keypad is the problem, I have seen the board develop bad solder connections around the relays. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can attempt a repair, remove top "2 to 6 screws" and remove keypad with control board attached "clipped or screwed in" remember to unplug microwave before you work on it.

I HAVE A ROWENTA STEAM GENERATOR IRON AND IT IS ALWAYS SPITTING OUT WATER WHICH STAINS MY FABRIC. i AM A QUILTER AND USE THE IRON ALOT.

Drain the water if don't need steam function, that's the best thing you need to do. Some iron when there is water like the one you use, when if its full on water really split out water, keep water in minimum or drain all of it.
I hope my advise help you.

I have a steam station Iron, it stopped sending the steam from the base into the iron through the cord .Also it has debris in the base when i empty the water Do you know the problem & can you offer...

This can be checked by you as there is not much of mechanics . Make sure that the steam is generated in good quantity so that the cord gets full pressure, if not clean the base perfectly so that there is good contact -- no debris .. make sure with a air pressure or water jet the connection tube is clean and not damaged at any points, if so the steam will not flow .
Once this is established you will get good steam pressure or else the connection tubing cord needs a change. Also make sure there are no issues in the iron to block off steam.

The light under the microwave will not work. We have replaced a socket and it still does not work. When we press the light timer, nothing happens.

The electronic control board has undersized circuit wires that can't handle a catastrophic lamp failure. The circuit trace will open like a fuse. If you or someone knows how to use a soldering iron, this can be repaired.
1. Remove the top grille. (Two screws on top)
2. Remove screw above button panel. Push up on panel to remove.
3. Remove circuit board from panel. Look on reverse side for open circuit trace.
4. Repair circuit trace...lights work again....
