Use a small screw driver and break out the tamper proof pins - I have done that in the past. You can also now buy Torx bits that are drilled for tamper proof screws.
While it is exasperating not to be able to easily perform routine maintenance on my microwave because of these fasteners (I just want to replace the lightbulb!), I am aware that there are folks out there who may not be savvy to the risks of microwave exposure if operating the microwave unit without the proper shielding. And,yes, it is a matter of time before more people get tools to attempts this, we should all be cautious about the dangers there.
Oh, ---in full disclosure, I also now want to fix the door which is no longer popping open upon finger-tip command.
