Maybe you need a driver for that, because once you put a new pci hardware in your computer it may need a driver to recognize the computer what hardware was inserted. hope that helps!

Please help me how to install vga driver, i can't play videos

If you can see your desktop on the monitor then its not your Graphics card, but it sounds like that your trying to play videos through Windows media player and the problem is that Windows media player won't play many videos without a codec pack.
So in order to watch videos download this pack
ftp://majorgeeks.mirror.internode.on.net/multimedia/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_760_Basic.exe

Hope it works.

The movies i'm watchning in the media player has no sound

Make sure that your sound card driver is installed and functional: try playing a song. If it works, or other video/movie produce sound, then the decoder 'Codecs' available may not be compatible with the format of the video/movie you are trying to play now: instead of microsoft media player, try installing and using another player such as the free VLC:

Hope it helps.

Dear Sir or Madam When I want to play a music on my computer , I get this error: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound...

Yes there is something wrong! The sound card driver is corrupted!

YOu need to check on device manager again. Look for your drivers there.

If you do not see the EXACT NAME of your sound card, then the driver that is installed is a DEFAULT driver made by the os.

Ex: This is a sound card driver name listed in Device manager:
IDT HIGH DEFINISION AUDIO

This is an example of a default sound card driver that will not work well on certain sounds or will not work at all:

LEGACY SOUND DEVICE

Even thought you many not see a yellow question mark (which you should be checking for too just in case)on any of the listings for your hardware, chances are you are still using a default sound card driver due to a corruption to its original sound card driver.

So recheck your device manager and find out the exact name of your original sound card. If there is no match to your exact name of your sound card, then you need to REINSTALL your sound card driver again and you will immediatly see your sound card working again :)

If this does not work, you may have to change your sound card.

Hope this helps :)

Cannot play on media player

Disable the onboard sound card and go to a store and get a soundboard to replace this , this would be a cheaper solution then replaing the mainboard..

Sound card problems

Hi Sir,
The problem is with the codec that is require to play sound. You can resolve this by playing your DVD in another player like VLC media player or you will have to install the latest codec pack which supports major Audio and Video formats.

Following are the links to download both the VLC media player and K-Lite mega codec pack-
Download any one of them and install on your system.I am pretty sure this will resolve your problem.

To Download VLC media player -

Breaking sound

most likely you have a faulty sound card. Is the sound card built into the motherboard? If it is, go into the bios and disable it and goto the local box store and get cha a SoundBlaster sound card to replace.

Other option is send the motherboard back where you got it from and get replacement.
