What exactly do you need to know about the camera?

Well, I can suggest you two things.
If you don't have an internal CD/DVD drive, you can purchase an external DVD drive with USB cable. This will be useful if you want to watch DVD movies, listen to audio CDs or when installing drivers or software that comes in a CD or DVD.
Or you can go to a friend who has a computer and ask him to insert the CD and email the software to you. Otherwise you can copy the content of the CD to a pen drive. You can use pen drive or email to install the camera driver to your computer.

You need to use a firewire cable to transfer the video stream from camera to the PC. This is because the gs34 (supposedly) does not support full speed USB 2.0.
You need to have a firewire port on your computer. If you do not have one, you can purchase a firewire card.

sir, you need the cd driver for your computer to able to use it whenever you upload your pictures on your computer. the function of the cd driver is to recognize your camera on your computer so that the computer know what device is inserted with.

dvd or cd roms are not need to have a certain application or driver to be use. Any software like Nero can burn or read a files or anything stored with it.

i think , the problem has occured while burning the cd or the cd may not be in good condition check that.Try by burning the cd again .
