For a Temp fix take it to a local glass tint shop and ask them to wire it up for you so people cant steal it. But the cable broke or the metal clamp that attaches to the bottom of the glass came off (if thats the case get some plumers goup or any other glue that stays flexible when it drys and try glueing it back to the bottom of the glass) I have a 97 Lincoln Presidental TC that happen to both my rear windows and I was able to glue the assimbaly back together for a quick fix, good luck

Left passenger rear side window is stuck in the down position; motor seems to work but cannot bring window to the up position to fully close. what is the cause and solution?

If the motor works then the window should move up, this sounds like the regulator may have broken, try to lift the glass by hand and see if it moves, if you are able to move the glass up then the regulator is bad but if the glass wont move then it would have to be the motor or the switches. you can try banging on the inside of the door while holding the switch in the up postion, this sometimes helps when a motor is going bad, good day.

1995 Honda Passport right driver's side window is stuck in down position, can hear motor working. Also back liftgate is not opening.

first try slapping the door while holding the lift button . this will only work if the motor has a bad spot inside it . the deck lid does not open I would check to see if the fuse for the that window lift is on the same circut and check fuse

I have a 1999 Lincoln Town Car. All of the windown

If it is the switch, both switches have to be defective, which is not impossible, but very unlikely. If during movement of another window you can distinguish the motor sound, but do no hear anything alike from the left back door's window, it is either the motor, or a loose wire after the switch. Most likely the point of interruption is where the door wires enter the door, due to constant bending there. Finally, if you hear the motor, it is the mechanism which the motor drives.

I have an electric rear window in my tailgate that won't go back.

Yes you can unbolt it from the regulator that it rides on. You should see a couple of bolts holding it in place unbolt it and pull it out so you can work on everything and then put back in.

I have the same problem. Read left window does not open.

It may be possible the rear windows are mearly stuck in the closed possition. If they are not used often they can actually stick to the weather stripping in the window frame & not allow it to go down. You can try to "bump the window with the heal of your hand a couple times while holding the window switch down. If this doesn't work you can also try "banging" the door frame. If you can hear something inside the door when you try to operate the window it is usualy the motor trying to open the window. You may need to try to close the window & then try to open the window again in order to hear anything. If you think this may be the case you can also close your hands on the top of the window(one on either side of the window, Inside & out side) and pull down with all the force you can while a friend operates the switch.
If it is not stuck... there is no separate fuse for each window. you will then likely have have a motor or switch issue how ever this is unlikely on the windows that are used the least.
Good luck, hope this helps
