Remote Receiver for Guitar Hero III cordless

The remote receiver's light won't come on at all and I have tried all sorts, everything else is working fine though, it has worked okay for 3 months and then suddenly stopped. Any ideas for me?

I have had my GH3 for the PS2 for 4-5 months and my receiver stopped working out of nowhere. The guitar still seems to work since the red light comes on but it obviously has nothing to sync with. I realize there is a limited warranty but a person should not be expected to purchase a new receiver every few months just to be able to play. If ANYONE can offer some solutions (excluding buying a new receiver) please post here. Thanks!

Well if other controlers work on on your PS2 then it will not be the console (have u checked this)?
if no light on receiver try in another PS2 if you can
If still no light then you can try and open the receiver and find the broken wire in it to make it work
or take it into a repair shop is simple part would b easy to find the problem and fix

Thank you for your input. :) The weird part is that the memory card isn't reading either so I thought it was the console but I plugged in a wired controller and it worked fine so that left me baffled.

I'll try your suggestions and thanks again for taking the time to help!

Hi,

I need a wireless receiver for guitar hero III, legends of rock

You can use any of the Guitar Hero Wireless guitars. The best I think is the one that is bundled with the World Tour version, has a smoother action (retails around £44.99 but check bundle costs first).
It has slider bar that isnt used in Guitar Hero 3, but will be better if you decide any of the future releases of guitar hero coming out later in year.
Hope that helps?

Guitar hero wireless guitar with PS2, guitar sync light seems to flash normally, but the receiver on the PS2 seems completly dead, can we change just the receiver part ?

Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.

Guitar hero 3 legends of rock my guitar doesnt work at all, the green light just keeps flashing on the guitar. please help thank you!

To fix this problem, when the game is in, wired guitar = plug in the remote, and it should work
Wireless= there should be a dot you are able to press in on, which will make the light flash green, then hit the button on your xbox 360 under the memory slots ----Besides * matters on how you have it laid out *
they will connect you to either 1st player * if your remote is turned off *
or second * if your remote is turned on *
let me know how it goes,
Thanks
