What I gather from your query is that you want a clear picture on TV screen with out any captions. Press the button which shows hollow TV screen on your remote. It is on the top. By pressing it repetitive all the words display will go.

How to get words of dialogue off this TV

To get words of dialogue off a TV, you have a few options:
  1. Check the TV settings: Some televisions have built-in closed captioning options that allow you to display the dialogue as text on the screen. Look for the "CC" or "Caption" button on your TV remote control. Pressing this button should cycle through different captioning options, including turning it off, enabling standard captions, or enabling captions specifically for dialogue.
  2. Use the TV menu: Access your TV's menu settings by pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control. Navigate to the "Settings" or "Preferences" section and look for the "Caption" or "Subtitles" settings. You may find options to enable or disable captions, adjust caption styles, or choose captioning presets. Explore these settings to see if there's an option to display dialogue as text.
  3. External Closed Captioning Device: If your TV doesn't have built-in closed captioning features or if you prefer more advanced captioning options, you can consider using an external closed captioning device. These devices connect to your TV and provide enhanced closed captioning functionality, including the ability to customize the display of dialogue. Search online or consult with an electronics retailer for external closed captioning devices compatible with your TV.
  4. Streaming Services: If you're watching content from a streaming service, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, they often have their own closed captioning options. Look for the closed captioning settings within the streaming service's interface. You can usually enable or disable captions, and in some cases, customize the captioning style or size.
Remember that the availability and functionality of closed captioning options may vary depending on your TV model, so consult your TV's user manual or contact the manufacturer's support if you need further assistance.

How do i turn off the closed caption on my toshiba 51h84 tv? i tried setting via the remote and changed the CC option to OFF but i still see the closed caption wording...it is driving me crazy!! help!

What is the source of your TV signal: Cable? Dish Networks? DirectTV? Antenna?
Many times the Cable/Dish Networks/DirectTV controller also has an option for closed captioning. Please verify that a controller is not setup to deliver the CC data.
Also, try setting the TV CC using 'C1' or 'T1' and selecting 'Enter' to accept the change; then come back and set CC to 'Off' again to see if toggling on/off helps.

How do you remove braille from tv

If you are talking about the words spoken on the TV program being displayed on the TV screen as text, then this feature is called CLOSED CAPTIONING.

Most remote controls have a button called CC, or CAPTION, or INFO, or DISPLAY which will allow you to disable the CLOSED CAPTIONING feature.

Otherwise you may have to select the MAIN MENU option for your set and go into the AUDIO OPTONS or FEATURES menu. If you can find the Closed Caption settings in there, then just disable them there by setting them to OFF.

If you can provide the exact brand and model number of your TV, then we can certainly provide you with more specific instructions on how to disable that feature on your particular set.

If you have a cable or satellite set top box, then also make sure that the Closed Captioning is not being generated by that device instead of by your TV. Make sure the Closed Captioning is disabled on that set top device as well if applicable.

I hope that was helpful.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

We have a Sharp 25J-M100 and we cannot turn off the Closed Caption. We hit menu on our Sharp Remote Control and go down to Closed Caption and make sure it is off. The words never go off of the screen. Our...

If the captions are turned off on your TV, they have to be coming from your cable box. The TV is just displaying what it's getting. Check your cable box menu and make sure captions are turned off there. Cable boxes, especially on digital systems, can prevent the TV's caption decoder from operating properly. So they need to be able to provide captioning, and I suspect you've turned it on somehow. Comcast should be able to tell you how to turn off captions if you can't figure out the menus.

Tv screen has script words showing

It sounds like you have the closed captioning turned on. Your remote control may have a button marked 'CC'. If so, press the button repeatedly until the words disappear. If you do not have a CC button then you will have to go into the TV's menu, also called setup on some sets, and turn the closed captioning off.
