Question about Digital Cameras

I have a S1000. I cannot seem to get clear pictures with the zoom or with indoor lighting. I have tried all the settings to see which one is best but it will show a clear picture on camara but when downloaded to the computer it is blured and the color is awful.

Hey missy lu,
There are a few reasons your images are coming out like this. I would first make sure the iso is not set to high or on auto (a good choice is 200), and directions on how to do this are on page 29 of your camera manual. I would then make sure that your image size and quality are set to the highest setting, and directions on how to set this are on page 33 of your manual. You can always reduce the size of your images but you can never make them bigger or better than they were recorded at. Lastly I would NEVER use the digital zoom. A digital zoom is merely software in the camera that is electronically cropping the image, and almost always it produces very bad pictures. Directions for your zoom are on page 18 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

Try taking pictures on Macro Mode, or adjusting Picture Quality on the camera settings.

Try resetting the camera by removing the battery for 15mins. Insert the battery back then go to the Menu and set the Date and Time.

I need help taking pictures with my DX6490 kodak camera. It does take clear pictures in a gym or auditorium when I need to use the zoom.

What is most important is that unless there is a slave flash or a more flash the subject might look quite blurred in the distance . You might need a SLR with a wide angle to get such pictures perfectly. Try to light up the area when it is indoor and see the result.

Yellow cast to indoor pictures, when I take pictures at my kids baskteball games and other indoor events, concerts, etc, the picture has a yellow tone to it, like the light is not sufficient, but it is...

Hello,

This is most likely the White Balance, if the pictures look yellow under artificial light.

I cannot find a manual online so I do not know if you can set the white balance yourself.
If you can, set it to artificial light. Remember to set it back for normal shooting.

You might like to try the Indoor Scene Mode, this should set it for you.

Hope this helps.

Dark pictures at times on auto is there a fix? Camera Fuji s1000

when you think that there is less light or whn you are taking a picture indoors or during night times under auto then reduce the ISO acordingly like if the lighting is of the indoor lighting then you can place the ISO at 80-200

if outdoor and during night time 80 or below and so on depending on the light conditions

the lower the light the lower the ISO
this would increase the shutter time though improving exposure quality

happy clicking

Quality

This may be noise due to picture(s) taken indoors, or out, in low light. This camera is not the best in low light and the flash is only good to about 12 ft.

TZ stands for Travel Zoom, meaning for mainly Travel outdoor senery shots where large Zoom is also handy. Read manual for lower light indoor/night shots.

Theres no better way than to open it and fix the Stucked iris!! You stored your camera for so long in the wrong side or not in standing position. Camera mechanism has oil and grease inside (that is the culprit why your iris is stucked), and will tend to settle in one spot if you will keep it not moving for a long time. But if you really want to fix without opening the unit try to use a black board with different size or adjustable center hole, this or these will serve as your camera iris, the brightest uses the smallest hole, experiment what suits you best.

Blurry indoor photos C-750

Use A mode and set the biggest aperture you can set (f3.5 ?) this this will then allow the camera the fastest shutter for the availbe light. In low light conditions this still may onlt be 1/4 sec which is still to slow for hand holding a camera. Best you turn your flash on huh.

Best situation to use each of the shooting modes

Program Auto (Factory default setting) Program Auto mode is used for regular photography. The camera automatically makes the settings for natural color balance. Other functions, such as the flash mode and metering, can be adjusted manually. Portrait Portrait mode is suitable for taking a portrait-style picture of a person. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Landscape + Portrait Landscape + Portrait mode is suitable for taking photos which include both your subject and the landscape. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Landscape Landscape mode is suitable for taking pictures of landscapes and other outdoor scenes. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Night scene Night scene mode is suitable for shooting pictures in the evening or at night. The camera sets a slower shutter speed than is used in normal shooting. If you take a picture of a street at night in any other mode, the lack of brightness will result in a dark picture with only dots of light showing. In this mode, the true appearance of the street is captured. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. If you use the flash, you can take pictures of both your subject and the night background. Indoor Indoor mode enables you to take pictures while indoors by allowing the flash to reach farther away. Beach & Snow Beach & Snow mode enables you to take pictures of scenery containing white sand or snow. Cuisine Cuisine mode enables you to take pictures of food by increasing the saturation, sharpness and contrast settings to take sharp, vivid pictures of the subject. Self-portrait Self-portrait mode enables you to take a picture of yourself while holding the camera. Point the lens towards yourself, and the focus will be locked on you. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. The zoom is fixed in the wide position and cannot be changed. QuickTime Movie QuickTime Movie mode lets you record movies with sound. The focus and zoom are locked. If the distance to the subject changes, the focus may be compromised.
