Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive

Scandisk 4.0 cruzer

Hi,

My scan disk was working two days ago but it is no longer working. Most of the time when I plug it in it flashes once and stops. There have been occassions that when I plug in the drive it stays on but the computer does not read it.

IF THE COMPUTER DOESNT READ IT , IT IS CLEAR
1 THE PARTITION TABLE OF THE DRIVE HAS BEEN LOST OR OVER WRITTEN BY SOME ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE, OR IT MUST HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY SHAKEN WHILE IN USE , OR THE SAFELY REMOVE HARD WARE METHOD WAS NOT FOLLOWED.

SOLUTION
1 CHECK FOR POWERSUPPLY ON THE USB PORT. IT SHOULD GIVE 5 VOLTS

CHECK FOR CONTINUITY ON THE SCAN DISK USUALY FIRST AND LAST PIN (WITH A VOLTMETER HAVING CONTINUITY TESTER.)

IF ALL THIS CANNOT BE DONE BY YOU .

Remove the usb safely???


click start right click on your usb scandisk select remove scan disk safely
or in the bottom task bar there should be a green tick or a small white triangle click on them you will see to remove hardware safely tab

this will vary depending on your operating system

My scandisk cruzer does not work anymore. the light flashes for a few seconds but it does not connect to my computer. Is there anyway i can recover the data on the disk?


hi this might sound silly, try it in another system, mine did the same one min was working next did not, but put it in my laptop and it worked....just a sugestion

Scandisk micro syncs all 'My documents' with comp plugged into


open scandisk settings and disable that feature.
or else you can simply delete scandisk software and use your pen drive.

try connecting it t different computers. if it reacts the same. well im sorry i think your 4gb sandisk flashdrive is damaged. and im sorry to tell you if that so, there is no way u can get your files back.

Cruzer Scan disc won't access information


Maybe one of you have deleted the partition on the flash disk... this is only likely though if you re-installed operating system or were chaging partitions..

if so here's a solution

you have deleted the partition by the sound of it, I accidetly done it once.. try this

click start, right click on my computer and go to manage.. then double click on storage1.gif, disk management2.gif local.. and it should show up here, once you create a new partition on it, format it and your all set..

Sandisk cruzer micro 2gb not detected


You only need to use disk management !!
for Win_XP:
Right click 'My Computer'.
Choose 'Manage'
In the left pane, under 'Storage', Choose: 'Disk Management'.
When device is connected it will appear as: 'Disk xx - Removable'.
It should be not allocated (Black Line), so you only need to created a new partition and format it.
