Generic problem for all Vacuums

WE purchased a Wind Tunnel last August. Since that time we have had many problems with the belt. Every third time we try to vacuum the belt comes off. My husband has had to unscrew the bottom in order to put it back on. We have had Wind Tunnels before and neve encountered this problem. When we went to a repair shop we were told this is a constant problem. What is going on?
