Will not turn on. We luckily have another E815 which still does and still charges, so we placed a freshly-charged battery into the dead E815. No luck. How do we turn this tired old phone on?

I have the same problem.

Leave it on charger on a while. And then turn on.
If no luck try to open and clean it inside.
If than is not enough phone have not contact with power.
That is usually for old phones just don't turning on.
