The beeps are error codes telling you there is an irq interupt conflict with your video card. Does your computer have an onboard video controler also? If this is the case you will have to hook up your monter to that and remove your geforce video card for now. Fire up the computer and then disable the onboard video controller using the device manager by selecting the onboard video card from the list right click on it and click disable device. This will allow you to plug in the geforce and not Have a IRQ conflict. The geforce will now be recognised as the computers only video device and there will be no more conflict or error beeps. The geforce will be recognized as a standard vga adapter until you install the software and drivers for it to gain full use of all its features. No beeps or Video means only one thing, the bios went on blank, engineers made a huge mistake and left the bios unprotected and all information is gone, the mother board is a failure. Store For Electronics People who have this kind of motherboards, must buy something different, and never that model again, as it can't be fixed ever.

Geforce mx400 driver for windows 7

Windows 7 already has the best driver possible for your board (got installed when you installed Windows). Therefore, you won't find anywhere Windows 7 drivers for your video card.
Still, I took a better look at your video card specs and I noticed it doesn't have Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) because at the manufacturing date of your board WDDM had not yet been created. So, I'm sorry to tell you this, but your video card doesn't meet the system requirements for Windows 7.

My bios speaker will beep on startup but nothing more. What avenue should I approach to get past this part of startup?

First you need to know which BIOS you have and how many beeps it is producing... these beeps are the POST - Power On Self Test. They tell us if there are problems such as missing keyboard, video card not working, memory faults etc...

Then you need to go to the appropriate BIOS site and see what the number of beeps mean.

If it is a single beep - it means all is well...
As you are not getting anything more you should check to see if the Hard Drive (HD) light flashes - if so - the HD is probably operating ok and loading your system but there is either a problem with your monitor or video card... borrow another monitor and see if that helps...

But it all depends on the number of beeps you get and what kind - long and short beeps (like morse code).

If this helped you at all please vote!

Geforce 2 MX-400 (64 bit) with vista

Before you installed the Geforce graphics card was your monitor connected to a video output on the motherboard?
If this is he case you may have to disable the onboard video card from the BIOS.
You can check by swapping the monitor's video connector between each of the video outputs.
If Vista detects a video card and you had not installed the video driver, it would install standard VGA driver, you can then install the Geforce driver.

Installing a graphics card on micron clientpro

Try removing the drivers for the old video card right before installing the card. Sounds like a driver conflict. The beeps are error codes saying what the problem is. Look up the beep error codes for your motherboard. If the geforce card is not supported by the system requirements this too will cause that problem.
