Question about Computers & Internet
I have flashed the bios but still on startup the monitor is blank and i get the beeps..thing is in the cds that came with the pc the video card driver is on the cd.. i have tried another geforce video card a 256 and the same result occurs the blank screen and the beeps ..any advice?
The beeps are error codes telling you there is an irq interupt conflict with your video card. Does your computer have an onboard video controler also? If this is the case you will have to hook up your monter to that and remove your geforce video card for now. Fire up the computer and then disable the onboard video controller using the device manager by selecting the onboard video card from the list right click on it and click disable device. This will allow you to plug in the geforce and not Have a IRQ conflict. The geforce will now be recognised as the computers only video device and there will be no more conflict or error beeps. The geforce will be recognized as a standard vga adapter until you install the software and drivers for it to gain full use of all its features.
