We cleared the paper jam from the front cover. Now the machine is still insisting that there is a paper jam. But then it changes and says to remove drum. We have put in a new cartridge but it hasn't helped. There are no other obstructions to be removed.

My Brother Intellifax 5750e has paper jam issue. The paper jam sign will not go away. I took out the paper that was jammed. Still problem.

take your drum unit/toner out and close door to see if "jam" goes away. if so, look closely on bottom of drum unit in the middle. may be a scrap caught in there. if jam doesn't go away, you may have a piece caught in the fuser which is just b4 paper exits and that area is not easily accessible w/o tearing machine down.

good luck,
razors

Machine diplays "paper jammed" with no paper in

Hello
This the method to clear paper jam, follow these steps:-
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Turn off the printer.
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the ink cartridge. 5 If necessary, remove the ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though.
Replace the ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
Good Luck

We have a paper jam according to the display but have found small pieces of paper tucked away but cant find any more is there a reset or is there somewhere more may be that we cant see/get to?

If your machine is detecting a jam with no obvious signs of paper, you most likely have small amounts of debris or dirt blocking the jam sensor. I suggest manually feeding a piece of thick card stock through the paper path, then spray the path with some canned air, as this will act to clear any dirt blocking the jam sensor.

Jammed paper

There are 3 places to check for jammed paper.

Turn off the fax machine, then remove the tray and open the back cover, and open the front cover to remove the drum and toner (cartridge) and look inside machine.

After you find the jammed paper put the cartridge and tray back in machine and close all the covers.

Error message should go away.
