Screen is broken

If the glass or which is referred to the crystal is broken a repair from a professional is needed. The gasket that the crystal fits into may be damaged and if it is held in with a variety of adhesives this can be challenging as well. If the actual screen is damaged where the liquid quartz numbers have been compromised then it is a factory job and would have to go to the factory.

Crystal can be found on ebay and it's not easy to replace a crystal since you will need several tools so better to leave to watchmaker.

BROKEN CRYSTAL

Hi davejordan

Sugggest you to take your watch to your local jewellary shop.
If company retail outlet is nearby then you can take it to them also.
Actually the crystal needs to be changed.

The crystal is broken. I dropped on a tile floor and it broke. However, the watch repair shop advised me they can not fix the broken crystal. I was wondering if I can order a new crystal.

Thank you for contacting FIxYa.
You should be able to have any local watchmaker fix the crystal. It is a very simple procedure but if you cant find a local, here is a suggestion:

Broken glass and new strap

Hi Chris,

Skagen watches have very thin domed crystals and they do break. Because of how thin they are it doesn't take a lot of pressure to break the crystal.

Crystals are not something any watch company covers in their warranty.

The crystal can be replaced. Either Skagen can replace them or a qualified watchmaker can. Prices vary and it would depend on how much you are willing to spend as to if it was worth it to you.

Broken crystal

Very common! Did you change the battery yourself? This is why I always suggest people take their watches to a reputable watch repair shop! You would be paying for a battery and not a new crystal! :-) You should be able to take it to a shop and have it replaced...although rectangle crystals can be tricky to find for exact fit!

Good luck!
