Sansa m230-retrieving tracks

I lost many of my cds in Hurricane Ivan and have several tracks on my player that I don't have anywhere else. Is there any way for me to copy them back to my library on my PC?

Just connect via USB Port and copy the tracks back to your PC. The computer should see the m230 as a removable HDD.

How do i delete songs off my sansa m230 so i can add new music

Connect the Sansa to your computer using the supplied cable. Open up the operating system's explorer window. The Sansa will show as either a Sansa or a removable hard drive, depending on the USB mode. Either way, open it and you'll see a folder named "MUSIC". Open that. You can either delete entire albums or navigate into them and delete individual tracks.

How did you transfer the music? If they are not viewable on the device, you might try updating the firmware. Otherwise, I would format the device and drag and drop the files manually thru My Computer. * format - right click on the device in My Computer, and select format
