It's Because of the Network Lock,It's not Unlocked 100% you need to Unlock it,You can get the Unlock code and Instructions at
http://www.wickedunlock.com/sidekick/rs11wp8/ and Unlock it.

How do You unlock a sidekick 08?

Your Sidekick operates on a GSM cellular network. Your Boost SIM card (and Boost Mobile phones) operate on an iDEN cellular system. You cannot use a Boost SIM card in a Sidekick. (FYI - SIM cards cannot be unlocked. Only cellphones phones can be unlocked.)

I need T-mobile sidekick ...& i am from India...

does your country have a tmobile network or tmobile store around there? if no, then it wont do any good for you to use it if there dont have any tmobile network to work with.
sorry to tell you that.
:[
but, you can try to get a unlocked sidekick and use a(whichever carriers you have in india) sim card and insert in a sidekick. but, you will only be able to use a sidekick are make a phone calls and send & receive a text and thats it. nothing else.
hope that answered your question.

Press and hold Menu and L to bypass the GPRS message this will allow you to use the sidekick as a regular phone and allow you to text.
